Caller said she was calling from O2. Then, one of the first questions was "What network are you on?". Very amateur. I said goodbye.

this is o2 cold calling.

I have had numerous phone calls from them. After reading this thread, it has made me think about the s'posed phone calls from 'o2' offering contract deals, this is a hoax and a ploy to gain your details so I would advise either ignoring, blocking or reporting this number as I am going to do so.

I've had this number ring a few times over the past few days. I refuse to answer it as they always call during my working hours! Not very professional! I think I will just carry on ignoring it to be honest and send them my busy tone if I ever notice them calling (phone usually on silent).

I've had numerous calls from this number over the last 2 days. After reading all this I think I might call o2 tomorrow and get it sorted out,gget the number blocked or something. Unbelievable that they've been doing it for at least 2 years.

This is ridiculous. I have at least two calls a day from these people. Once I amswered and there was noone there so i hung up, but I'm averaging about two or three calls a day... do they not understand I dont pick up 0800 numbers? As they are sometimes the ones who do that sneaky ring back as soon as you pick up thing? If it IS O2, they have no reason to ring me, I'm pay as you go and I do not wish to be bugged. I tried to switch to a simplicity contract and they wanted £100 bond. No thank you! Is there any way I can stop themcalling me without paying the no doubt premium rate to ring them myself?

This is ridiculous...i never answer 0800 numbers and i never give my mobile out to people i don't know!!  Do they not get the message, if you don't answer it's cos you don't want to. They ring you at stupid times during the day (i.e. usually when you are at work yourself). I am nearly at the end of my contract with T-Mobile so I am assuming this is why they are calling.  I will be renewing with T-Mobile tho so they have no reason to call!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got back from college today i had 6 missed calls from them
i used to get them but my boyfriend answerd and was really rude to them so they never used to ring again but now they are starting again.
i rang and they said id be removed in 3-4 working days!

keeps calling me several times a day, never leaves a message and a couple of times have rung me in succession.

Argh, so annoying, especially when they ring when you're doing something that you can't put down!

Just had a call from them but I refused the call, they didn't leave a message (surprise surprise).  I'm already with O2 on PAYG and it suits me fine so why are they contacting me?  Don't use it enough to take out a contract.

Terrible that they've been hounding people all this time.  Very unprofessional too.

I  got a call from 08000641087. They seem to be a phone dealers company working on behalf of the mobile network comapanys. The woman would not stop asking me questions even though I said not interested from the start of the call. But she seemed to carry on as normal and I then asked what she was wearing and the phone went dead. hahahahaha

Im on pay as you go. dont know whrere they got my number from.

they had my name and said that they were calling from O2 to save me lots and lots of money on my phone contract. told him i am not interested and not to harrass me. he tried to continue and i interrupted very firmly saying he was harrassing me and said goodbye when he tried to continue. he ended the call and i have not been bothered again - yet; that was 2 days ago.

got a call from this number today, didnt answer it, came on here and seen all of your comments on the number.

BTW, some phones have a reject list. So when they call you, the phone hangs up on them without you knowing they have even called. Check to see if your mobile phone has a reject list. Still to find a landline phone that has the same option.

btw, its not an 0800 number, its an 08000 number.

Got my first call from them yesterday. Phone was on silent and I googled the number. Now added to my blacklist, so won't hear from them again.

These guys called me at 6pm today just as I had sat down with my dinner.  Guy claimed to be from O2 and was pleasant enough.  I answered his questions about my mobile contract and told him I was tied into it for another year.  He claimed O2 could do me a better deal and he would call back nearer my contract expiry date.  

Anyway, I will now check out O2 tarrifs nearer the time because it did sound pretty good.  Will never give anyone like that my bank details though, that's just not on!

They seem to call me every 2 or 3 days whenever my contract is up for renewal.  Don't know how they know this, maybe they buy the information from O2?  They didn't stop ringing, even when I'd answered it on 5 occasions and told them I wasn't interested and asked them to take me off their list.  In the end I just answered the call but let it hang there so they were talking to thin air.  They stopped for ages after that but now it's started up again.

I have just received a call from this number. A guy called Connor (Irish accent) said that he was calling on behalf of O2. I work for O2!!! I know for a fact that this is not an O2 number. So people should not answer. We have lots of reports of this, and its never good news. So please just do not answer if you are unsure of the number.
