The reason the calls cut off straight away is because they are using something called a power dialler and what this means is a computer dials your number and when you answer it trys to transfer you to a agent... if an agent isnt available the line goes dead and cuts out! This is the reason it keeps calling you because you go back into the number pool!

I get them calling me as well!

bottom line people --- r is probably right, the problem is as soon as u get any type of contract phone any network after 6 months the network sells your number on a list to multiple firms and networks regardless what they say, they normally start calling you 9-10 months into your contract to get u to switch.

I just got my first today - As a missed call - i never answer calls from numbers I don't recognise anyway - i'm hoping that as i didn't pick up they'll leave me alone - by all the reports here they hound you constantly - surely this is harassment and therefore illegal?

This number called me today 08000 641087. I never answer 08000 numbers so I cancelled it. It's the phone spammers LBM. Phoned up their opt out number and opted out. Make sure you call from a landline on 08000 136675 to opt out. It's an automated call so you don't even get a thanks or anything or an opportunity to swear at them down the phone which was bit disappointing.

This number rang me and costed me money even though i did not anwser.

got a call from this number today - what i find unusual is that i'm one moth into a renewed 18 month contract with t-mobile; if t mobile valued me enough they wouldnt sell me details to an 02 marketing company?? i have kept the same number and account with t-mob sicne august 2005 so it makes me wonder, if theyre willing to sell their most loyal customers down the river, what else are the capable of??

I am not even on 02 but when I used to be the actual company 02 leaked my details to another fraud company and without even speaking to me £100 was knicked from my bank account never to be seen again!

Just add this caller 08000 etc to your "block list" and they wont hassle you again, or just phone your network and report it.

If you've been unlucky like me to have been on 02 your details might be floating around somewhere so make sure the fraudster network have not stolen anything from you.

i just googled this number as i had ALOT of calls off it.
then i found something, where someone said it was linked to a fraud company or somethingg?

Its 02, its a deal about spend £20 ish a month on your phone and having free textz n what not..
I told the guy that my bank doesnt allow me to take out direct debits because of issues in the past!.. It works all the time.
I Havent had a call back from them :)

i use 2 work at LBM they do carphone warehouse sky TV and broadband, vodaphone 02 and 3, its a call center with different departments for other companys!

I had a call from this numer. The guy wanted me to switch to 02.  He did not want to accept I was not interested in 02, so I hung up on him.

This number rang me a few times today, couldnt answer as I was at work.
I hate it when people I dont know ring me! Drives me mad. The other day I had a Manchester 0161 number ringing me non stop and that was for a phone contract :( GRR

I'm sick of calls from this number. They keep leaving voicemails and dont say anything on them and i keep paying to listen to them. So annoying!

I've been rung by this number 3 times. First two I've said you've got the wrong number, third time I was at home playing CoD4 on the russian side, I answered in a russian accent and the person on the other end could just hear gunfire and explosions. Pretty funny reaction.

They claimed to be from O2 every time, I'm on ASDA mobile.

these idiots have been bugging me for ages and I like many others do not tolerate 0800 numbers or private callers..... it's just infuriating when you work nights and need to leave your phone on cos of sick relatives an you get these idiots waking you up!!!

Had this number ring me last night, google it, found this site, and relised it had this two years ago, I also use this web site two years ago so when I phone 02, they didnt know who they are, so the number rang again, they said they was 02, which I said prove it!. Her reply was "I can play the 02 theme tune down the phone to you", lmao. At this time I said wasn't intrested and haven't called till now. Also by the sounds of it they want " offer you a better contract or upgrade" if they was 02 then they would know that I just entered a 24 month contract with a iPhone, so can't get out of it and can't get a "better or upgrade" phone
