I didn't answer this number when it rang me as I am worried it may be a scam.  I have not registered my mobile number with any companies so cannot understand where they have got my number from.  Whoever it is is very persistent as they keep phoning me.

Got calls from several numbers, including this one. They pretend to be O2, but they are not (I have contacted O2 and they confirmed the calls are not from O2). I suspect they are fishing for personal details.

I have had over 70 calls from this number over the past month. I registered my mobile number and home number with TPS (Telephone Preference Service) which is free to do online. Now every time they ring me I tell them it's just cost their Compnay £1000.

Even if they have automatic diallers it will flag TPS in red on their screen and they are supposed to not dial UNLESS you are already a customer or have been with that Company. They can get fined for every incidence of calling you once you've registered with TPS - it can take up to 28 days for your registration to become live, but I've used it with every new phone number over the past 4 years and in my experience it's never taken more than a week to stop the calls.

Hope this helps some of you get rid of them!

i just started reciving these calls from number. I think its being fished from other networks because yesturday i just finished registering 02 for new phone online. and today recieved two missed calls and third one answered was looking for Alias name "John" i told him that i wasn't him and that must have the wrong number. But i never once recieved these calls except today after registering with o2. from reading alot of comments allot of you arn't o2 customers so must be fishing for numbers from a large scale. anyways more to the point, I'm now going to contact o2 support asking them why they where giving my number away to 3rd parties. and then also if recieve another call from this number to request them to remove my number and any information they may have on me due to laws of data protection act.

Simple, go to this page here

    http://www.lbm.co.uk/contact.aspx

Start a live chat and tell them (politely) that they are bothering you with calls and you would like your details removed from their database. I just have. Will wait to see if it works!

They were very quick and polite.

This number is a company called LBM mainly based in Belfast. They are an out-sourcing company and they deal with O2 contracts and the like they also deal with Vodafone, British Gas, Orange, Talk-Talk etc. If you don't answer your fone the computer automatically marks it as not-answered, and resets the number back into the loop of numbers to call. Nothing to do with the caller. Try and ask very awkward questions or just say you are completely happy with your service at the moment and are unwilling to change.

They just called me. The guy with a strong irish accent said he worked for 02 and would give me free calls or texts for answering questions. Asked for my postcode and house number (which i declined), asked how much I put on my phone in a month to which i said £10 a month and he asked if he'd heard me correctly. He then asked whether I wanted to be called again, which i said no to. Hopefully i won't get called again.
