- Eddie| 1 replyDEBT COLLECTORS WANT YOUR POSTCODE I got a call from 08000641087 but I played the game and had a conversation with her but told her I will not give her my personal details unless I check she is genuine, she kept saying "but the thing is.....", she was making excuses telling me I can't ring o2 sales and she wan'ts to do a credit check, I told her there is no point I'm not on the electrol register as I do not vote, knowing this and that I would fail a credit check for not being on the electoral roll she still wanted my details but I said "NO" and she said can I just have your postcode then? haha this is a classic question from debt collectors so beware people. Oh and if you register on electoral register this is how they find you wherever you move. so do not register guys!!
- Caller: claimed to be o2
- Call type: Debt collector
- Diane RimesThis number just rang me during form time and it has been for the past week. I just wish whoever this is to stop calling me.

I had a call to my landline and the guy wanted me to give him my mobile number.
I refused. - MikeFellow rang my business landline said he was from O2 in Belfast. Had Irish accent.
Wanted to give me a better offer on my mobile - but I refused to give him my mobile number - clearly some kind of scam call- Caller: O2 in Belfast
- LeighI just got a call from this number. It's a female trying to say something to me which I completely couldn't understand. She hung up before I could ask her to say again. How annoying. How can I find out who called me?

- sarah replies to LeiI am being hounded by this number once a day at the mo, but a few months ago I am sure the same number called me a few times a day. I keep rejecting the call or missing it due to work
I am tempted to call O2 who I am with and tell them to have my number removed or blocked so this other number cannot contact me. It really gets on my nerves!! Luckily I found this website and knew to ignore the call Thanks - Phyz replies to Stevehad a call from this number rang it back and it was from o2, they give me the number 0800136671 to be removed from there database.
Lets see if it works!! - theoraisfed up with receiving calls from this damn number!!!
- jayne nightngaleTotally fed up with constatnt calls from this number. Never answer as i don't answer unknown numbers on the mobile but what a total pain in the backside. Have tried various links and numbers to stop it but nothing appears to work!!

- Caller: dont know
- paulbgot a missed call and voicemail from this number but nothing said in the voicemail. Really annoying.
- J RobertsHave been getting calls on my mobile from this number too - have tried ringing them back but doesn't go through...............getting a bit annoyed now - Has anyone had any luck getting removed off their marketing lists??
- Harry TuttleTheir REAL number is 01925 470 400 and it's stealthed to show up as 08000 641 087 on your Caller ID. I don't know how they do this, but they do. Caller ID shows the 08000 number, but when I ban the last caller (just after receiving this call), it shows as the 01925 number. I banned both from calling me just to make sure.
If you Google the 01925 number, you'll also discover posts almost identical to the ones found on this page/number.
You have to ask yourself this question - if these people are honest, why do they find the need to disguise their true number. Deception under any circumstances should always arouse suspicion.- Caller: ?
- Anon replies to EddieIt is illegal not to be on the electoral register (although whether you would actually be prosecuted/ fined is another matter...). This is clearly stated on the form sent out to everyone each year by your local council to confirm who at that address should be on the electoral roll.
You can opt out of the edited register, which is the one marketeers use. There is a box on the annual from that allows you to indicate which version of the electroal roll you want to be on.
Doing something that is illegal i.e. not appearing on the electoral roll, to avoid getting marketing calls seems dubious advice to me.
I would suggest that a phone call to your local council to check if you are on the edited register (and then asking to be removed from it if you are) might be a more legal course of action!
