    for the past week this number has been calling me up to 4 times a day i wont answer as i never do if i dont know the number but just a minute ago i did answer in the hope it would stop them ringing but as soon as i answered the phone they hung up

    absolute nuisance. this number calls me several times a day and has been doing so for around a month now. I answered a few times and nobody is there. it seems like my number is on some sort of a auto dial machine. is there no way of stopping this? How can one officially complain about this type of thing and stop this from happening?

    ITS BARCLAYS everybody.. thanks to this site for the lead. I just called Barclays complaints and told the lady i was getting persistent calls from this number and when i answer they hang up. They've even left me blank phone messages. She got a bit defensive and said Barclays would never do a thing like that. However she did a check and came back to confirm that it was a Barclays marketing call. I've logged a complaint. She said its the first they've heard of such a thing happening. Their number is 0800 282390. She said they would start investigating this now so fingers crossed!

    Yep, Orange and Barclays! This number calls me twice a day every other day!!!!
    I never answer.
    let them waste their time talking to my answer phone, I will NEVER answer to unknown numbers.

    this number calls my phone almost every day, sometimes 3 times a day for the past few weeks. It is so annoying. i havent answered as i assume it is dodgy.

    been getting numerous calls from 08001218141 on my O2 mobile over the last week or so. no message is ever left. i called the number once and got silence, and was able to answer a call once and just got a huge loud cough in my ear and then silence. i wish they'd stop calling.

    I've been called about 14 times in the last 5 days
    I answered the very 1st time and the line went immediately dead, I've ignored it since.

    It'll be Barclays! So glad I didn't answer. I got hassled by the guy a few weeks ago and it'll be him following up. I wish he would GO AWAY.

    Seems they broke up for the holidays. Got a call from them this afternoon, said his name was Blake or something from Barclays. Couldn't speak so asked him (foolishly) to ring back later. He (or someone else) just did, I heard some weak muffled speach in the background but then they hung up. Rude bunch of t*ssers. Thanks for the info, All, will tell them to bugger off as if they call too persistently, it might be worth filing a harassment claim or something...

    I've just had this call! they've waited a while... a year since the last comment!!? Im with Barclays but on 3, not Orange. I guess it's just marketing - glad to find this website tho thanks guys!

    this number me 2.10pm on 8.1.09 & they slammed the phone on me & i have had this number ringing me before they dont answer when i pick my phone up.

    this number as been calling me now for upto 6 months & i mean on a regular sometimes about 3 times a day,As ate as 7.30pm sometimes & i have answered the phone once a long time ago they put the phone down.So now i dont answer it "but i are they still harrasing so many people & nothing being done about it ?.

    i am with orange but i don't even own a credit card. this number rang me about 9 times before christmas and once today at about 5pm. i've never answered it, partly because sometimes i'm at school when they ring, and also because i don't answer strange calls from people i don't know.

    Been called VERY regularly for about two weeks, always on my landline. Any time between 8-30 a.m. up to 8-45 p.m.!! We always let it go to the answering machine and they listen to all of our outgoing message before putting the phone down. Neither my wife or I have ever had an account with Barclays Bank. We are registered with the T.P.S., but this seems to be pretty useless as we seem to be getting more and more of this type of call.

    Got a call again, twice within an hour! Now I have put the number on the Reject list on my mobile. (Luckily I don't have landline). I do have an account with Barclays but I'm with Virgin Mobile. Don't think the mobile network makes any difference though as they call on landlines as well...
    If they call and you are lucky enough to actually speak to someone ask them to delete you from their database. Maybe it helps, as someone suggested a few months ago...
