Strange. In background I heard train and then connection was broken.

Got a call from this number a minute ago but I didn't answer as it looked a little suspicious. 0800 numbers are free to dial but you might be charged to answer them ....who knows?!

I ve received 3 calls from this number in 4 days. when I hear the phone I hear hear only my own voice in the background. I dont know what is this?

I received two calls from this number yesterday and 3 calls today. I haven't picked it up, as I never answer calls from unknown numbers unless I'm expecting someone who's not on my phonebook to call.

No answer.

2 missed calls from this number today, was away from my phone on both occassions but no message was left.

I answered the call and a fella said he was from Barclays and was offering personal accident cover. The missus works for them so I''l ask her about it. They shouldn't have this mobile number anyway...

I got some info here from the Information Commissioner's Office website and there is an article about how you can (or at least TRY) to stop unsolicitated phone calls from marketing companies...http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/librar ... g_materials.pdf

This number has called me 3 to 4 times a day for the last week, they leave no message and have called as late as 7:30pm

I answered it yesterday and I got the same as Tom, a guy from Barclays offering me personal accident cover. I stopped him before he went on!

My mrs also works for Barclays and she said you can stop these calls by going into your branch and asking them to stop all marketing calls!

2 min ago they called me. but i didn't answer. it's really gettin' on my nerves. it started a few days ago and it keeps going. 3 or 4 times a day.

They have called me another 4 times today, at 16:30, 17:15, 18:36, 19:29. This is getting absolutely ridiculous now.

I've been getting calls from this number for a few days now and I have never answered as I don't know who the f*ck they are - I was worried it might be some-one chasing me for money so I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been getting these calls. How annoying though....they keep running my battery down on my phone as they ring throughout the day and evening!

Keep on swmilimg though....it's the weekend!   :)

I got a call as well. I did not answer - first thing I found this site.
My simcard is with ORANGE.
I have an account with Barclays as well as others here.
It is funny that there is no information about this on www. barclays  webpage.

I missed the call today on  my mobile and called it back from a landline and there was an automated voice message saying that
"you were called today by barclays, we will try and call you again it is nothing to worry about.  If you don't want us to call you again please call 08000831856 and follow the instructions"

Just got phoned a second ago on the landline (which, i might add, is ex-directory) and there was some odd noise in the background. Nobody said anything so I just hung up and checked the number.

Typed it in to google and up pops this site - barclays huh? First time they've ever called.

I got the call earlier today, but didn't answer it.

Funnily enough, I'm with Orange and Barclays as well.  Something of a trend here me thinks.
