I received a call as well from this number twice this week. One of them was forwarded to the voice mail and I could only hear some street noises recorded on the message. According to other posts this is a number from Barclays but for me it seems like its some kind of spam. Anyway thanks to the forum and the posts.

I just received a call from 08001218141 and it was a bloke said he was called Tom from Barclays and wanted to see if I was interested in accident cover. I told him I was not interested as I did not trust the call. He asked why and I said I have received 3 calls a day for 3 months and most the time there is no answer on the other end.
I don't think orange and barclays is a connection as I am wth o2 and have barclays.

I received a call from this number after 6pm. Do marketing calls come after work hour?

Keep ignoring this number, why don't they give up? I must have ignored 30+ calls over the last few months. Annoying!
So much for Barclays contacting people as little as you want.
