They phoned me at 11.30pm last nite, scarred the pants of me thought something had happened to one of my kids. grrrrr Nice to meet you too Bill lol

I get up to five calls a day from this number - usually don't answer but today I decided to pick up the call ... a common sounding female with a lower working class Scottish accent asked for me by name and said it was BT.  She then lied to me copiously saying they have recently laid fibre-optic cabling to my nearest 'cabinet' (which is untrue) and said "did I know that my Broadband speed was only between 1.7 and 1.8 Mb/Sec" ( "one point seven" not 17Meg). Suspecting an 'upgrade' sales attempt I informed this lying little tart that as we spoke I was seeing a continuous 20 Meg being displayed on my permanently connected synch-speed meter which flummoxed her considerably.  At first she became apologetically argumentative then more forcefully so, insisting that my speed really was as low as she had said.  It's very offensive being lied to by your own service provider ... it wouldn't be quite so bad if they didn't employ such common sounding scum but at least this particular female realised she'd been sussed and had the good grace to rudely hang up !

They called me and when I answered they put the 'phone down. What's it all about?

It's BT pushing their infinity broadband - obviously it's not all that it's cracked up to be and is not selling as well as they'd like it to do,so they are trying to flaunt it.      People don't know or can't be bothered perhaps but drop a note to BT at Freepost

Called to today. Asked for the telephone account holder by name. Claimed to be BT.

Now now Doctor, it's common sounding scum that make the world go round!

It's BT, reminding the Account Holder that their Bill is still outstanding, even though I had already paid the Bill.

They keep calling 2-3 times a day so annoying

Message received from 0800 1691608 - BT.  Rang BT who said it is a SCAM... however as BT have the options to all telecommunication within the UK I suspect the elephant in the room.

Have had several calls from this number, gave not answered but becoming annoying now!

This number called me today around12.30pm. Guy says he's calling for BT and wanted to speak to the telephone line account holder or whoever has the broadband account. I refused to discuss anything and just said that this number is listed with TPS. This alerts the caller that they are not allowed to make cold call marketing calls.
I have had quite a number of calls from this num ber left on my answer mqchine over a year.
I believe it is a third party 'agent' company marketing for BT to entice customers to upgrade their broadband to Infinity.
Some may offer to make the switch for no extra cost for rest of contract. However, as soon as a new contract period is negotiated the Infinity price will be also upgraded. "Nothing comes for nothing!"
If you backtrack to complain for niusance calling. BT will deny and say iits not them, it is a third party company not calling on their behalf. This is so BT can deny they are contravening TPS rules and guidelines.

Have called me a few times now and their number doesn't show up on my call log or on my caller id when they ring. I'm with BT so it makes sense that they would withhold the number from their own annoying calls so that you can't identify that its a sales call! I rang the number back and got an answer message confirming it was BT

Just got a call from this number. Insisted they were BT, and wanted to check I had the best deal on infinity.
Asked for post code, and when I said they should have that, they put the phone down.

They phone every night at teatime. I have TPS on my phone. I leave it to go to answering machine and a female voice says sorry we missed, we will call again.

This number called me today. An automated voice said my BT bill was overdue and service would be disconnected. It read me my number and asked me to press 1 if it was correct, which it was. I then got worried it was a bogus call and phoned BT who confirmed that it was bogus. Now I'm worried about any security breach that call might have been trying to perpetrate.

Said he was calling on behalf of BT and that we were to take out a new contract if we were to avoid paying £6.75 for BT Sport.  I asked when our contract was finished, he said February 2015, so I told him that we had time to think it over.  The whole spiel was rushed with a very strong northern accent. He seemed to accept my reply.  Hopefully no more calls but have call barred just in case.  I am having a battle with EDF & Atrium Legal at the moment.  I am ex directory and registered with TPS but still have had loads of calls.  I let it go for a fortnight but now I am logging each call, complaining to the companies who keep ringing me, also to TPS.  It is a subject I feel very strongly about as some old or vunerable people cannot cope with this sort of abuse and harassment.

Missed the call and called them back after i read your comments - thanks for them all I find them so very helpful!  Got an automated recording saying BT called will call back if they need to speak to me.  

This number has called me four or five times every day for the last three weeks. They always say the same rubbish.. Totally had enough now!!!!
