Caller said he was from Sky and as offering me 1/2 price movies & Sports coz i had been such a loyal customer. Then to "confirm" who i was he asked for my address and date of birth, before i realised i had blurted this out, i then told him i wasn't interested and ended the call. i then got a strange call a fe days later from this number 07943489203 - when i ring it back it goes straight to answer phone.

i hope i havent FUBARed by giving my details to this "listening company"

This number just phoned me, and hung up when I answered.
Found this site, used the number above (0800 0324617)and my number has now been put in the 'do not call' list.  Simple, effective, and they even apologised for any inconvenience.

So annoying - how many times do we have to stop what are doing to answer see who is calling!

It is the Listening Company, I work for them. They outsourced a lot of callcentre work from different companies but if they ring you direct off the dialer the number will appear like this whether it be Sky, O2, t-mobile business, a couple of hotel companies. If they call you it will be for a legit reason and not a hoax. I get this number come up when my manager rings me lol

Call from "afinion" freud protection company?!? They asked for someone else and when i asked what it was about he hung up. Very strange.

Perhaps if they get enough calls where no one speaks they'll get the message!

Constant silent telephone calls from this number but seem to clog my line for around 10 mins even after i have hung up..

They called my number on 05/05/09 at 14:17 and 16:38, 06/05/08 at 11:43, 15:16, 18:06 and 20:02.  Each time the line was silent.  They called again on 07/05/09 at 17:35 and actually answered.  They asked to speak to my daughter.  I asked who was calling and he said something indistinct.  I asked again and again it was not clear.  When I asked him a third time he said that he couldn't give any more information unless he knew who he was speaking to because of the data protection act.  I told him that my number is ex-directory and asked how he had got the number.  He replied "It obviously wasn't from the directory then, was it."  I told him that my daughter no longer lived here and he asked for her new phone number.  I told him I couldn't give it to him because of the data protection act!  He hung up.

phone calls up to 5 times a day to my ex-directory landline. even on a sunday!!

Simple annoyance tactics. Just enter these details into every dodgy website you can find and THEY will be bombarded with unsolicited spam emails , telephone calls etc . If every one does it they may just get the message hah ah ah a

I followed the instructions to remove my number, twice it doesnt work so I googled the company and spoke to someone who assured me my number wouldnt be used - guess what - he lied.

this number tried to call me before. I dont answer my phone to these numbers as if someone actually needs to get hold of me they will leave a message and i can get back to them. these calls are just timewasters/scammers.

Its a marketing company called The Listening Company. You can call 0800 032 4617 to have your number removed from their list

i work for the listening company, and they even called me from this number!

they are an outsourcing company, working for sky, o2, shell and a few other big names. just ask to be taken off the marketing calls list.

Called 0800 032 4617 on numerous occasions and complained to the TPS twice and I STILL get the calls.
Emailed The Listening Company this morning and got a reply back from JakiSwain@listening.co.uk.
If I get any more calls, her inbox is going to get full pretty quickly.
