Keep getting silent calls from this number which i do not wish to get
The company is "The Listening Company"
We are registered with the TPS but satill get the calls
Fed up of it

asking for my husband and could they ring back later with fraud issues- nothing to worry about, so of course i worry, could not make out their name.Did 1471 and put into into the web only to come up with this website so obviously some scam - god youneed to be on your toes!!

keep getting these calls im fed up rang the number they give you to be taken off there list yet they still call.how can they be the listening company when they hang up right away.im on 02 is this happening on all networks.what do they hope to gain ive had loads of idiots trying to sell me broadband & the likes who would be dumb enough to buy something over the phone.aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

yes i have had them phone me as well and im on vodafone 3 times in the last week getting annoyed now just gonna hang up from now on

I have been getting calls from 08003896818 for about a week but they have all been missed calls with no message left.
When I did answer the phone I could hear office noise in the back ground but no one answer the phone.

Any advice on removing my number from there lists would be great.

Had a few calls from these people.  I tend to not answer these type of calls but they are becomming more frequent.

This is the 3rd call I've had in 2 days, when picked up theres no answer then goes dead.  Really frustrating, at least if they speak you can tell them your not interested.

Just recieved a call from 08003896818, and they claimed to be from MBNA business, trying to get me to have one of their credit cards.

When I refused, he asked who I had a card with.
I told him I didn't need one, and he asked how I paid for my goods.
I told him that was my  business, not his, he got all shirty and hung up!

Hundreds of call from this number over the past months - I ignore it when it comes up as it usually goes dead anyway, but it is really getting on my nerves.
I am regsitered on the TPS but still get loads of these calls :-(

if this business was legitimate it would comply with TPS rules.

AAAARRRRRGGGHHH they call me about 5 times a day, and all because I decided to compare quotes from Compare the Market.com and Money Supermaket.com. Next time I will just stick with the latter, as I have never had any problems with them giving my number out to strange people/companies. With the former, this was the first time I have used them (just over 2 weeks ago now), and everyday I have had phone calls from this 0800 number and another 08000 number. Most of the time I don't answer, sometimes I do then just hang up cos I wished I hadn't answered! Crazy people. Why won't they just get the hint after 2 weeks of not being able to speak with me! ggrrrr

Called me this morning asking for someone I had never heard of called Keith Bolton. I told him that he had the wrong number. He then asked if it was a vodafone number and when I asked him who he was he gave some name nad when prompted claimed to be calling from t-mobile, I told him I had no need to speak to him and he cut the call.
I think he asks for Keith several times a day.

Still not sure 'exactly' who they are, but apparently this is the number to stop the calls ... 0800 0324617 or the head office is 020 8484 1000.

BT customers ... also a lot of you have said you are ex directory, as I am, however, BT still put your number on the 118 500 and it can also be found on the web, you actually have to tell them that you don't want it on any of these services ...  I sent an email to BT's CEO and actually got a response and then a call from the complaints manager who made sure it was removed.

Received a call from a woman saying she was from orange and wanted to know which phone network I was on.
When I responded "not orange", she shouted "which one then?!"

I just hung up, I can't be bothered to even humour these "people" anymore.

I keep having them call - I've used this site a few times for various numbers but a couple of people have mentioned another 0800 number to call - I think it's 0800 0324617 - and I did that, and though it seemed a little TOO simple, all I had to do was type in the number that I wanted taking off of their list, and then it would take up to 24 hours for my number to be removed - hopefully that will work
( I haven't actually answered one of the calls yet - I know it's going to be some w****r who either doesn't speak, or tries to sell me something!! )

Great little site btw :)

keeps ringing during the past few weeks - costing me money when I was away in New Zealand as I was charged everytime I answered it.
