got a call from this number not sure who is this

Part of www.serco.com - made the call to remove my info.  They have been calling me for weeks till I was warned by work I would be sacked if my phone didn't stop going off all the time.

My number is also on the TPS so extra pissed at this lot.

Be very aware, they rang telling me they were ringing from my bank and would I give them some information for security purposes, When I chalenged her to tell me the account number she was referring to she said she Couldnt due to security.
Do not give ANY information to this company, at best they are gatthering marketting information and at worst they are scamming

Received call from this number and man said was from Santander Bank and wanted me to have credit card I said not interested and he got quite uppity with me and rang off

Does "The Listening Company" have a centre in Cramlington - Northumberland, if so what is the address please.

They asked for my husband and stated they were Santander and that this was a courtesy call.

I got a call from this number on my mobile and thought it may be bt contacting me about a new internet contract I have just signed up for.
I rang the number back on my landline and the answerphone message The listening Company, and Serco was mentioned. I cannot remember the whole message, but it said if I wanted to stop receiving calls I should dial another number (I think it was the same one as you quoted in your post)
I was scared to phone that number because I was paranoid it was a scam to get me on even more call lists and I regret phoning them from my landline in case that has opened the floodgates for me to receive these time wasting calls.
It's a real shame I, and, dare I say, others feeling paranoid about these predators, but this type of marketing is predatory, and makes me fear falling for scams, as scams are getting smarter all the time.
Reading the experiences of their staff who have had traumatic experiences with bullying just makes it all the more sinister.

Just called asking for address and other personal details, then said that he was from Santander and was making a courtesy call to try to sell products. Hung up and did not give out any details, passing word to people in the area.

A young-ish sounding English guy called me from this number said he was from Santander. I do have a Santander account coincidentally so thought may be a legitimate call.

He immediately asked for 'part of my date of birth' so I said no I'm not doing that! He said but madam it's only a part of it blah blah blah - sounded very dodgy to me indeed!

Had missed call from this number earlier today. didnt answer cos was working so dont know who it was

This number phones and hangs up as soon as you answer the phone.  The Listening Company claim to do market research on behalf of other companies.  How can they possibly do this when they never speak to you but only hang up.  This is a nuisance caller and have duly reported to BT and TPS.

Just had a call from this number - they knew my name - said they were calling from Santander re courtesy call. Said they would need to do a security check. I said I wasn't  happy giving any info over the phone and he rang off.

They have rang twice and i didnt anwser the first time. Answered the second at 17:18 GMT+1, 6/6/12. The caller said they are from Santander (bank), and asked for security check details; I refused to give any.

Caller said they were from Santander and wanted me to give them some of my information to confirm who I was. I declined to do this and the guy gave me another number to call back - 1471 giving me 08003896818.

I did not answer this call (@ 14:01) but the caller was very persistent as they waited for my answer about two minutes. I checked online http://www.listening.co.uk/ and there is not this phone number listed in their contact details. There is not this number in the list of phone numbers of Santander either.

I've had this number ring me 4 times today, answered it this evening and when he asked for me by name I asked where he had got my number from.  The call was geniune, he was calling from Citroen to check that  a brochure I had requested had been delivered.... So, I'm guessing its a number thats used by lots of different people for a lot of different reasons, some good and some obviously bad.  Most mobile phones have a number block facility on them and you can set it to ignore that number....

A member of my family works for The Listening Company and they work on behalf of Sky.

The have called 3 times over the last week, but I only answered today.  They claimed they were from Citroen UK (I recently ordered a brochure).  They were very polite and asked if I could talk.  I agreed, but challeneged them when they asked for personal details (my address), saying that it was them who called me, and that I should be checking their credentials.  They then said they were unable to do so, so I suggested that the call could not continue and they agreed.
