Been calling over weekend! Spoke to my partner and asked for me but wouldn't identify themselves! Have called again but i let it ring out, and know message was left. I'm about to report them to BT as I'm on TPS but i'm also going to put them on a call barring if possible....I don't know how sucum like this sleep at night!!!!!!!!!!Get a real job!

Just received a call from 08003896818 (one of many over the last few days) and when I answered the girl shouted "you're ignorant" over the phone then hung up. I have reported it to their main office - 020 8484 1000 - the Customer Services Manager is going to check who called me and check the recorded message.

they call here about 5 times per day and we're registered with the TPS so they shouldn't be calling us.  I never answer though.  I like the tip above about the modem and their freephone number.  Might try that :-) :-)

I have been getting constant calls from this number, mostly they do not speak so I hang up. I have dialled 0800 032 4617 as advised by first poster on here, it appears that this will remove my number from the list........  will believe that when I see it! Flaming nuisance !!

I have just had a call from this number and they said that they were from Sky Television but they were asking for my telephone number, name, address and password.
I told them that I was not giving out my password to someone who has just rang me up and if they want to they can send me things in the post. I don't believe it was Sky.

I have been called several times a day by this number for the last two weeks.
BT say they cant stop them - I have asked to go on the TPS but apparently it takes 28 days!
This harassment should be illegal

This number has called us 3 times today - first 2 calls were silent the third time they said they were from Sky and asked for my husband, when I pressed them for more information they said  they were advising people that they could get "add ons" for no charge to their Sky system I told them we weren't interested and put the phone down.

ARGH! I am no longer going to answer the phone. For days/weeks these people have been ringing. Sometimes they say they are Sky & ask for my husband, I just say he's not here and at other times the line goes silent. We are also registered with the TPS and have been for years.

I have tried pressing the hash key when I receive these calls - but htey still keep phoning,
I have registered with TPS but it seems futile - can nothing or noone stop these perverts?

Received a call from this number this morning, left a rather bizarre "blank" voicemail but I could hear all manner of people in the background talking/laughing.  Called the number back, and there is a message from The Listening Company, who claim to be a marketing agency.  They offer instructions for removing your number by dialling 0800 032 4617.

These people got through to me on my landline this lunchtime after repeatedly ringing for over a week which I ignored (everyone knows to use my mobile).  Addressing me constantly as "Mr DeeJones" which immediately made me suspicious; they claimed to be from Sky Television and asked if I was happy with everything or if they could do anything for me.  I said I was happy with everything.  I was then asked to give my security details.  When I said that I was not giving any details when they had called me, his words were "ok, we will end the call there." and hung up.  This number has SCAM written all over it!

this number rings me a few times a day i never answer cause i cant do with these companys ringing all the time is there anyway to get them to stop calling?

I got a call from the number a few days ago. I answered the call and they were calling on behalf of BT and were trying to sell me a BT Credit Card that could quote "give me big savings on my BT phone bill". As I suspected I would have to use the card to enable these big savings, I declined the offer. I then caled the number on the Caller ID tag to find out who these people were. I recorded the call in Windows. The message goes like this "This is a recorded announcement provided by the Listening Company. We are a marketing agency making calls on behalf of a number of different clients. If you have obtained this number by dialling 1471 then it is most likely that one of our agents or automated dialling equipment has attempted to contact you on their behalf. Should you wish to prevent further Sales and Marketing calls to your number from the Listening Company, please hang up and redial 0800 032 4617, then follow the voice prompts. Thank you." Line then goes dead. What annoys me about these type of calls is that I'm ex-directory so I shouldn't really be receiving them in the first place!

Received call from this number over last few days. I dialled 1471 to see who it was and followed prompts to have my number removed from list. Probably wont happen. My husband is disabled so is quite annoying for him to have to get to the phone and have someone hang up as soon as he manages to pick the phone up. I hope someone can get these people stopped.

Had a call from these people this morning, Sunday. she couldnt speak english very well and said she was ringing from Sky and I was entitled to a reward because I was such a good customer! She then proceeded to ask me for all my personal details this is when I said no thanks, put the details in the post and I'll contact Sky myself.  Rang Sky shortly after, surprise surprise, no note of rewards or calls!  These people really annoy me, its bad enough ringing through the week but not at the weekends!!

Been getting these for a while, but now signed up to BT's Choose To Refuse service, which is free, and it's easy to block these morons.

The problem comes when you get those Indian's ringing you asking for Mr someone who doesn't live there, as soon as you tell them that person doesn't live there they just hang up and they're X directory, so you couldn't block them anyway. Might just give up my phone!

P.S. I have nothing against Indians, but I have no patience and plenty of anger against rude people!

Had this number call today, didn't pick it up though as only the number showed up on my display no caller ID.  As I've had quite a few of these types of calls in the past I just let the answer machine pick it up, and lo and behold, yes you've guessed it, they don't bother to leave a message.  I'm not sure if this is also the same people but also on the same day had a call from "private caller" and once again did the same thing and they didn't leave a message.  In time they will get fed up with no one aswering and not bother you anymore.  My advice is, if you have a telephone with a display don't pick it up unless you know who the caller is, just let your answer machine take the call and if they don't bother to leave a message it can't be that important.

I just received a call, I answered and it took the guy on the other end about 20 seconds to say anything... He claimed he was from sky.

I told him that if he was offering anything, that I would never give details over the phone. He then hung up!

He tried to get our pin number for sky... Yeah, like that was going to happen!
