On answering these calls, there is nothing but complete silence. Damn annoying!

They call at odd times I wait for them to talk but they do not own up to how they got my number

They've called a few times on my landline - never on my mobile - and when my partner answered they told her they were from Sky and needed to talk to me and hung up when she said I wasn't home.

Had a call last night from this number and they hung up as soon as I answered . . .

Had another call today and there was just silence until I hung up.

Just checked my phone bill online and there are CHARGES on my account FROM that number :  I'm disgusted that I'm being charged to RECEIVE calls from a company abroad!

They just called my work phone number and said they were 02. I have never given out my works number in reference to myself. So how the hell did they get it?

i recieved a call, silence on the end when i answered eventually a man said hello, lots of background noise and then they hung up.... very annoying!

Just called the Listening Company to get me removed.  Within seconds the phone goes again and it's from the Department of Transport calling about bus travel for the over 60's, shame I am only 40.  That number was witheld.

Keep getting continous calls from this number.  It is an invasion of my privacy and a nuisance.

My 17 year old daughter answered a phone call from this number. When she told the man calling that i was at work he began asking for her age, she told him she was 15. He then asked what she was doing to which she replied she was just going out and he asked her if she was going to meet a boyfriend. This is not on.

Just got a call from this number (embarrassing as I'm at work and I'd forgotten to put my phone on silent!) no-one at the other end.
I'm sick of these calls! :(

I am getting calls from this number and there is no one on the line. Grr.

This number is from a legitamate company called The Listening Company. Telecoms companies outsource to them to handle their customer services. I work for Sky (Sky Talk) and have dealt with them professionaly many times.

Just missed a call from this number as they've been trying to contact me about my own personal Sky Talk phone line.

I can see why people might think they're a scam though - they're very bad at their jobs!

They have been trying me for a while, I answered today and it was MBNA wanting to know if I wanted to transfer money onto a credit card I have at a low interest rate.

I said no and he said bye - it was a special moment for us both.

Got a call at 20.25 today 17/08/09. Hung up as soon as I answered it.

Sent an email to their 'info@listening.co.uk' address asking them to explain who they were, why they were contacting me, on whose behalf etc.  

Did get a prompt response from a 'Jaki Swain' apologising, and answering my specific questions - she also advised that she'd taken me off their contacts list.  She advised that they had been calling on behalf of SKY - I have just signed up with SKY, so I guess that's why.

My next email / call will be to SKY to advise them how intrusive and annoying these nuisance calls have been.

I got a missed call from this number and called back.  I was told it was from the 'Listening Company' who make calls on behalf of several clients.

Phone 0800 032 4617 and you can have your number removed from their database.

Just rejected a call from this number to my mobile. They called me around the same time last week as well.
Fortunately I have a Samsung phone so can add the number to my "Reject" list and shouldn't be bothered by them again... (he says hopefully)

Just had a call from this company. They were "calling" from Sky Talk.

I've just (today) had a new line installed by Sky, and he wanted to check that everything went ok, that I knew why they had to assign me a new number, and why the old number (the one that he was calling me on) couldn't be ported over.

Now that I've read some of the comments above, I'm a little worried that he asked for my date of birth and password, but he certainly knew his stuff, all about what has been happening with my line, and how / who I contact to get Broadband on the line. Even gave me the number :-)

I've had several calls from this number and it's really getting on my tits.

I've complained to the Telephone Preference Service.
