These guys have been calling once or twice a day for the last few days. Once they got through and asked for my wife by (slightly incorrect) name. After speaking to her allegedly in connection with her credit card, they are still calling back. We've had several silent calls so far.

They have now been added to my "naughty callers" list, which causes the call to be answered automatically, and plays them a message informing them that their call is unauthorised, and that all calls are logged and further calls may result in a complaint to the information commissioner. When the message is over, it loops over and over again until the *caller* hangs up.

Crucially, all this happens without me hearing the phone ring.

Claimed they are from BT credit card and offer their credit card plan. Claim that they can help me save ££ off my phone bill and charges low interest rate.

Told them I am not looking to sign up any credit card and happy with my telephone bill.

Had a call today from this number 16/10/2009 18:23.

Disturbed my peace hung up on me once i'd answered.

If the authorities in this 'waste of space' country were of any use they'd use this catalogue of entries to prosecute for clear cases of harassment.

I have tried the above number 3 times now and they still call, up to 4 times a day. This is getting unbearable!

I too have received a number of silent and calls and calls that stop after 3 or 4 rings. Like most people in the UK, I have been recieving numerous unwanted and nuisance telemarketing/sales calls recently. There is really only one way to deal with them: Report them!

The more people complain  the better the response by Ofcom. Any company found to be in breach of the very tight guidelines set out by Ofcom can face a fine of up to £50,000!!

Keep getting a call from this number about 5 times a day and it is really annoying me. I won't answer it as i've heard abot dodgy phone call that charge people for answering them.

The same number keeps calling me, if you call 0800 032 4617 and follow the prompts you can remove your number from the calling list and have a peaceful life again.

Just called the 0800 032 4617 number, really hoping this will work. Already registered with the tps, getting these calls all hours of every day. Sick to the back teeth of it.

This number has been ringing me every day for weeks! (mobile) I used to answer but always silent at the other end so now I don't answer but they ring several times a day at all sorts of times from morning to late. I'm so fed up - why isn't Ofcom doing anything about this company? Going to the Ofcom website as suggested above to register a complaint.

Guy called trying to sell Orange Business connection. He did say that they just take the details then "pass onto someone who will be able to give you a really really great deal"

You can get your number removed from their database by simply calling 08000324617 and following the recorded message. I have also been called by these people non stop for weeks now. Hope this helps!
