Report a phone call from 08003896818 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Paul FisherWas called several times by this number over the last few days, which is upsetting because my wife is quite poorly and if no-one is in then she gets woken up and then answers the phone to just silence. This is also spooking her considerably. This type of interruption really is the last thing we need right now.
I dialled 1471 to note their number, googled it followed the link to this site and phoned 0800 0324617 and hopefully have had our number removed from their call list. Just hope that the removal process is effective. - DavidJust received call from 08003896818 for about 20th time inthe last few weeks, for the first time there was somebody on the other end :- It's THE TIMES newspaper trying to flog stuff! Unbelievable.

WHY ISN"T ANYTHING BEING DONE ABOUT SHUTTING THEM DOWN ?????- Caller: who knows
- LizzyI just got a call from this number 0800389 6818. I goggled it and your page came up and it was helpful to know I am not the only one who is receiving these silent call. I dialled 1471 and found it.
Best just ignore it then?
Many thanks for the thread and I feel better now. Been receiving quite a few calls and not familiar on my address book and also I am ex directory so wondering who is wasting my time.- Caller: silent
- hollyi seem to be getting at least 1 call from this number every day, sometimes up to 4 a day, i picked up once and they hung up. sometimes they phone at night around 10. i have called the number to be put on the dont call list, im waitin to see if this will be end of such an annoying, ponitless company.
not happy at all, im 19 and dont pay any bills so why are they phoning me?? - BeeWe were called today. They asked for my husband by name and when I said he wasn't in they said 'Just tell him Alliance & Leicester called' and put the phone down. They are not from the Alliance & Leicester at all, as their manner was very abrupt and unprofessional, unlike most staff of a major retail bank. Hope they call back then I can give them some silent treatment (like leaving the phone and the side while I 'go and try to find' my husband!!
- Driffield resident 01377Stop wasting your time and mine, you`ll not get anyone to talk to you, I have a Call Blocker

- DavidConstantly getting calls from this number about 3 a day for the last 6 weeks at different times. Never answered it, always think if its important they leave a message. Although phoning when I'm asleep is a bit annoying.

It is 9pm and i am not happy, i said to him 'do you know what time it is? it is 9pm and my young children are in bed.'
Its the first call iv had and im hoping i dont recieve anymore!!
I didnt get out of him what company he was calling from - KevSame old story... Got my first call from these degenerates a few night ago 20:50 Not answered any of the calls, around 5 in the last 3 days.
I called 08000324617 & was told the call would be charged so I hung up Immediately. I thought 0800 number were FREE... I've since saved the number on my mobile & set the ring tone to silent/vibrate, just for that number. Now when they call all I get is a nice gentle massage on my genitals. See, these people do have a purpose in life.- Caller: none
- DazI tend to totally ignore any number that starts 0800 on my phone, never answer them,I am on TPS but doesn't seem to make any difference.
- AnneThey've rang every day this week, yesterday even calling at 9.55pm and today they've rang five times. I've answered the phone three times without them speaking but could hear things going on in their background. They've just this minute rang again!!! I used to work in finance and have recently been told that there are some companies using alleged free phone numbers who are dialling people on purpose so that we follow the obvious reasoning of ringing the number - however it transpires that when you ring them your call isn't free at all but charged at some ludicrous rate. I'm ex-directory too :(
- DaveI recently was getting calls to my house phone every day without fail, and when I picked it up I was amazed that it was a total deadline every single time. I mean at least talk if you're going to call someone, right?
Anyway, I rang up their free-phone number 3 times which claims it will remove your number from their system, obviously didn't work. So being fed up I e-mailed to: info@listening.co.uk
I explained the situation in writing, said to them I've recieved calls daily which have all been deadlines, explained that I rang their freephone line a few times to get my details taken off to no avail. I asked them to remove my details from the system, and referred them to 1 ofcom rule and quoted to them: "http://www.ofcom.org.uk/media/news/2005/10/nr_20051031
Quote: "Telephone numbers dialled then abandoned should not be called again by that organisation’s automated calling system for at least 72 hours, unless a dedicated operator is available to take the call;""
I also provided the following details: The name of every person in my household, the address, the post code and the number which was being called by them.
I didn't recieve an e-mail back, but it didn't bounce which means it's still active, but I haven't taken any calls for the past few days, so I assume they have done something about it. Here's crossing my fingers anyway.
If you e-mail them, be polite and let them know the situation, being angry and attempting to slate them or the company gets you no-where. This helped me, so give it a try. GL.- Caller: The Listening Company
- YaI just received 3 phone calls from them. Never answered. No message left. I don't intend to pick up next time either. Ignore the stupid and they give up.
- jazzt1I keep getting calls from the f'in Listening Company on my mobile - it's always an automatic dialling machine so there is unfortuntely no-one there to tell where to get off.

- blackyellowWe receive about three phone calls from them every day. Thankfully we have caller display, so I have the opportunity not to respond to the calls any more. I just wonder why companies are not prosecuted for harassment. They clearly do not even want to flog you something because there's no reply if you are silly enough to pick up.
- JI received two calls from this number today, one which I missed and one which I answered. The man said he was calling about my Topshop Account and new identity theft protection being offered. He asked to clarify some of my details, but I asked if I could look up the info online instead. He became rude and asked why I was uncomfortable - I explained that the call was unsolicited, he was calling in the evening and there was a lot of background noise. He said he was in a call centre, mumbled something that he told me to google and then I ended the call. Even if this was a genuine call the timing and rudeness were inappropriate.
- AlastairI keep getting calls from 0800 0389 6818 and found it is 'The Listening Company'
