I keep receiving calls from this number and they aren't speaking or either playing a voice activated message saying good bye

ive had missed calls from this number for about 2 weeks now...3 a day so i answered today and they said they were virgin media i think!i could not understand them and i can only describe the caller as sounding drunk(no joke)they slurred a couple of sentences and tried to say my name twice before they hung up....

I was called last night from this number. Lady with strong Indian accent asked for the1st 2 letters of my VM password, couldnt rember it but she said they wanted to expand my broadband as a thank you for being with them so long, lovely but then tried to sell me a SIM card for my Ipad and a mobile phone deal. Both I said I didnt want she then said ok I'll leave it all the way it is and hung up. This was all on my mobile phone that isnt even with VM?

just add "call filter" app to your mobile... job done

Got a call today 9/03/15 he said he was from Virgin he asked for my 1st & 3nd digit of my pass word. then i asked him what it was for he said he would ring me back & hls English was bad it was very fishie what should i do if they ring back

If you are a customer of Virgin then call the number shown on your previous paperwork and ask them what they want to contact about.            Normally calls from Virgin ask for your agreed password rather than characters of it, so it sounds fishy.

I keep getting calls from this 0800 - 2 a day - and sometimes they leave a message - I go to retrieve it and there is nothing there!  Please barr this caller from calling me and no doubt numerous other.

Keep getting calls from this number at all different times of day. I have answered it once and could not understand
what was being said. I have ignored all calls since then as it I do not believe it can be a genuine call.

Block them.
I suspect scammers.

This is a scam call - beware. Do not give any personal or banking details.  This has happened me before - someone pretending to be my mobile phone provider - and is usually because they already have a clone of your bank card and they are just looking for some additional information to defraud you of bigger amounts. Be wary!!

When I got the call from this number today I said I thought they were scamming - the guy immediately hung up which is not what you'd expect from a genuine virgin media rep.

This number calls me almost daily two or three times.  I don't answer it because It is unknown to me.

Phoned me at 6pm on a Saturday night,defo not virginmedia,block this number.

i have now missed 8 calls on this number. The phone has never actually rung but daily it is registering a missed call

Had 3 calls on one day from 0800 408 9341 purporting to be from Virgin Media.  I will never answer this number again although i like the time wasting strategy mentioned by someone else ,  if i continue to get calls i will try this and keep the caller / idiot on the line for as long as possible .

Yes exactly the same thing is happening to me - they ring me most days, and if I do pick up, there's not even any body there! I very much doubt they are virgin media. Very suspicious and very annoying!

Virgin are a pain in the ass!! Dozens of unsolicted calls to my private mobile. Since I am a customer of Virgin for my landline and browdband (not very good by the eay!), I cannot understand why they ring my mobile and then leave no message!? Then when I answer thry do not get to the point and then have the absolute cheek to ask for my password!!!! If they rang me then they know who I am surely? If  I rang them then maybe I should prove my identity, that is clear.

I am incensed by their attitude! As soon as my contract comes up for renewal I shall switch if not before.

Virgin media just rang me,,, but I also use to work for them,   please if THEY ring you, they will not ask you for your password,  its sales,,, and yes they have your name and number and you hold an account, but they don't have access to any other details,,, I know that for a fact... they rang you just remember that,,,, so they have your name and number, they do not need your password.... do not trust these naughty geezers probably in the India Office.

i drive a lot and this number continually phones whe i am on the road..very distracting and very unwelcome.
