Report a phone call from 08004089341 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- ElnojIndian-sounding caller used this number to make some offer about a TV package and tried to ask 1st and 3rd ch's of my password - no I am handing that out over the phone, so he asked some other security question which again I refused to answer on an unsolicited call. I asked him to send me details by email but he they couldn't. So evidently a scam in progress and probably not Virginmedia.
- Caller: "virginmedia" (possibly)
- Call type: Telemarketer

Bunch of idiots!- Caller: Virginmedia
- Call type: Telemarketer
- kenThey sound foreign and hard to understand.
Unlikely they are Virgin. Don't give them any of your details.
I put an app called Hinky on my mobile and it cuts them off. Sorted - gerontius| 1 replyThis scam has been ongoing for 5 years - currently blocked on my mobile 2-4 times daily. Can't Virgin or someone track these characters down and lock them up?
- Jeeves replies to gerontiusHave you reported them to Virgin Media? Do you think anyone on here has reported them to Virgin Media? I personally dislike Virgin Media intensely but wonder how they are expected to do anything about these calls if they are not told about them.
- T&mCaller I.d on your phone is the most effective way of stopping unwarranted intrusive calls on you phone.. Lets face it if you dont answer the phone, they give up but they then start mailing you instead. Is there a fourum for unwanted post ?
- .,I can't recall ever having a package-upgrade call from Virginmedia. It has always been a mailshot or email
No-kilt T&m, I'll let the lack of a kilt pass but your spelling is now like fake Tam. :)- Caller: fake Virginmedia
- JohnBecoming pain in the butt
- NoeSupposed to be personnel from Virgin but will not verify my account number which they would have on screen; so doubtful it really is Virgin, sales of some kind.
- Caller: "virgin"
- Dave-rosThey called me up and addressed me as a different person! I've called up Virgin Media on behalf of my housemate (the account holder) in the past, and clearly whoever is making these calls thinks my number is that of my housemate (as have Virgin Media themselves in the past, because apparently they can't understand more than one person living in the same house). I cheerfully told them I wasn't the other guy and asked them to take my number off their list. If they still call back, I'll let you know (but more fool them if they do!) -- however, consider this evidence that whoever they are, they got their information from Virgin Media themselves, by fair means or foul...
- cghad 15 calls when answer no one speaks. had vitus scam previously saying they were Virgin. please be careful
- Robin KingVirgin media. 21 calls in two weeks. Will not stop calling trying to upgrade contract.
- Caller: Virgin media
- Call type: Telemarketer
- CapetChewerJust had a call from this number...just silence...I left them to listen to air for about a quarter of an hour before hanging up....obviously, I never established who they were...if they ARE scammers posing as Virgin Media, why isn't Virgin Media DOING something about them...?!? We pay them enough, don't we....???
- CarpetChewerWho the hell are these people?!? Just had a call from them, trying to sell me a new sim card....I've had calls from this number before, so I decided to "string them along" a bit this time. They asked me for the 1st and 3rd letters of my Virgin password, which I deliberately gave wrongly, but they proceeded anyway....They knew EVERYTHING about me (name and address, anyway)....I didn't give them any bank information, but I'm now getting a bit nervous about who it is that I've just spoken to.
I will DEFINITELY contact Virgin Media to see if 08004089341 is genuinly one of their numbers.- Caller: Virgin Media (maybe...)

- Cedric PoppletonI answered the call on Tuesday. A man came on claiming to be Richard Branson. He said he'd be passing through my village and would drop in my house for tea the next day. I spent all morning baking cupcakes plus an apple pie. Burnt my thumb as well. Believe it or not, he didn't even turn up. It's probably a scam. It did sound like him though. I suspect it might have been John Culshaw. He's always doing that kind of thing. Last week I thought I was entertaining Patrick Moore but after he'd left I suddenly realised: HE died three years ago.
- Caller: Virgin
