I am a Virgin Media customer and I only get these scam calls on my mobile!  It isn't a Virgin mobile, so I have blocked 08004089 340 and 341 on my it after finally catching one of their so called agents on the last call.  Told the Indian/Pakistani man that I did not want to get these calls an if it happened again I would take formal action against them.  His English left much to be desired and I am not the sort of person to put up with this sort of nonsense and telemarketing.  If Virgin want to contact me, I have a landline telephone and email account with them and they do know them, they can use those if they wish, but I will not accept unsolicited calls on my mobile.

Received the first call from this Virgin sales number 2 days ago. I waited patiently while they went through their sales pitch and then respectfully declined. Today they phoned again. I told the lady she had phoned before but she said that this different. She then went through the same sales pitch word for word. When I said again that I didn't want the free blackberry for £7.99 a month she abruptly put the phone down.

I am sure they will phone again.....to be continued.

This number has plagued me for almost a month now. After unwisely answering the first call whilst travelling, they pinned me down to a call back time the following day at a specific time. When they called at the allotted time I advised I wasn't interested in their product. They then called again a week later whilst yet again I was travelling. I ignored it. The next day, they called again only this time I answered as it was the middle of a working day, and I was caught off guard. I advised I was at work and couldn't talk. The guy completely ignored me and continued with his script. I then hung up. They have subsequently called me on both my landline and my mobile at various times of the day, EVERY day since. I have resorted to screening EVERY landline call, and then having to incur the cost of calling friends back. I blatantly ignore the number when they call my mob now I recognise it. And when I googled it, the primary link that appears CLAIMS it is UPS Parcel tracker so it's difficult to know exactly who they are.

Just had a call from 08004089341 claiming to be from virgin media. I couldnt help be get very suspicious when she spoke in an American accent asking for my account details and she could save me money, Basicly I told her that I never EVER give out any of my details and if she wanted to know anything she better write to me at my home address. Then she told me that she could send me an email if I liked,
thats when I hung up the phone. so Im off to check to see if they have sent me an email, as my first port of call was to check this phone number out and I found myself here!

Am I thinking correctly that Virgin Media had all our details leaked a while ago? .....

Just a update to say that I did receive a email headed "Theteam" I then rang virgin media to explain to them that I thought this was some sort of scam, I don't know any other way to describe it all other than totally and utterly disappointed.
This number is a genuine number from virgin media. It could confirm to me that they did ring me today and did send me an email but virgin media couldn't give a rats [***] how I found it all very amateurish and unprofessional . After speaking with so many virgin media employees based all over the world with MY details in every country as totally turned me right off being a customer of theirs ... Im on the look out for a new provider and I suggest you all do the same

    well and truly
just had another call from 08004089341 and would like to type more than this polite entery.
this no rings two or three times a day and asks for my wife. who now refuses to answer the phome which is left to myself who been disabled struggle to get to the phone before it stops ringing . but from this number a packistany or indian voice in bad english keeps requesting to speek to my wife. When the person rang today at quarter past three  was  chalenged he mumbled something about her account with virgin media asked for her again and when told she was not available asked twice more and the line then went dead  Virgin have normaly corrispond via letter which makes me think something is not what its made out to  be

I'm a virgin customer so took the call and listened to a very hard sales pitch, it ended with the, 'if you want the £5 sim card deal for your daughter but aren't sure about the contract I'll just send the sim card in the post now', despite several times of saying 'no'. I asked for a call back and she ended up calling me twice on the home phone one after the other then straight away on the mobile when I didn't answer (sick kid in urgent need so the calls really peed me off). I told her it was unacceptable and  didn't want to hear from them again. So, they called today and when I put him on the spot, 'do you have a record of my previous call' he lied, ignored the question and then tried to tell me he was a different department.
I'm shocked that Virgin are using this company, I had a lot of faith in them before this.

Don't Virgin Media understand that, rather than drum up more business, they are putting people off, so much so that even though I have everything from Virgin, I'm thinking of cancelling because they are so doing my head in. GO AWAY!!!!!!!

    guess who
they claim to be the 'service provider', if they are from virgin media they would specify straight away instead of saying 'we are your service provider' ! when i said i think you have reached the wrong number as a test they hung up straight away, if they were from virgin media they would know if they have the correct number...NEVER give away any names or passwords!!! if they are who they say they are they have it on their systems, ASK THEM! and the only time you need to give them the details is if YOU ring them!

I've just contacted my mobile no to see if it's feasible to have this number blocked. Interestingly, their records show one call today and it wasn't from the 0800 408 9341 number which is what my phone displays. Luckily whilst my phone displays one number, their records show another which they do find suspicious, but I have to log two more complaints with them before they can block the number
