I have received 4 calls from this number on my pay as you go phone . I answered the first time and they asked for some one other than myself when I asked why the phone they hung up but I was charged just over £1 now I just don't answer.

Receive this call regularly - never answer it just delete but its very annoying!

Well, they called me, and left no message on voice mail. have picked it up the next time they called and there was no answer.... not going to bother anymore....

I have checked this number with Virgin Media and can report that this is NOT Virgin Media Sale's. If you have given your password to them or any other details PLEASE CONTACT Virgin Media Security Team so they can help you to reset new security system details to protect your account from these fraudsters.

Received this call at 6.20pm asking for my partner, told them he was out (even though he wasn't) they said they were from virgin media regarding upgrades to our account, they said they would call back.

Can confirm virgin media called from this number today trying to sell more packages apparently saying they can save you money. Didnt take them up on offer just hung up.

i jus got a call today from this number and dey got my name wrong and hung up what the F***

Two missed calls to my mobile (provided by Vodaphone). I was warned it would cost money to call back so I did not do so.

This was an unwanted & unsolicited call. Received on my mobile, not welcome.

Got a call from a woman with an American accent claiming to be from virgin media asking for the householder. Couldn't say the name properly and I just told her the person wasn't available

A lady call my landline from that number every night at same time(9 00pm) wanted to talk to my husband,when i pass the phone she cut it off.

Who the hell is 0800 4089341, leave no message, if the are an honest Company why not leave a voice mail??

Had this call early this week. This appears to be a scam, NOT Virgin. On the Virgin site forum it seems that most people reckon this is a scam that spoofs the Virgin number. Also, if this is from Virgin why does the "TPS" not work. They may have got around this but the data they seek is not needed if this is genuine. A major point is that if this by any chance is Virgin, they are contravening the Data Protection Act regulations if the call centre originating the call is abroad (which appeared to be the case from some on the forum) or the use the information is by an unauthorised company independent from Virgin. If the information was sold by NTL, Virgin or whomever, the use of this information in this fashion is illegal. If the information was obtained some other way like Sony - Virgin don't wan't us to know. Finally, someone who went through the process with the scammers was sent a simcard costing £70.00 (usually free) and had money taken automatically.
Be warned.

I complained to Virgin a few months ago about marketing calls from this number, got a solemn promise that I'd be removed from all marketing databases and I'd never get the calls again.

Still they come.

called mee yesterday trying to get me try out some new package then charge me 8 quid for it after 30 days dont think sooooooooooooooo!!! service is a rip think il change to BT!

Calls twice a day without fail - I never answer - but how annoying!

Call 1 to 2 times daily. Answered on one occasion. Claimed to be from Virgin Media, attempted to get details out of me. I hung up at that point as I was HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS! Seeing some other comments here seems I was correct

I have received calls from this number regularly over the past couple of months. I answered the first one but there was no response. I have deleted them since with out answering.

Called home number, I didnt answer it. 5minutes later my mobile rang. Same number, as I answered the call, no reply than call was ended by caller.
