Had this number call three times tonight.

After reading this thread, I am glad I was out.

Number now added to my barred list so no more calls from them.

08005875290 rang me 20mins ago and I got a SMS from BT i Have no idea what this is all about someone tell me please!!!!!!!! :)

I have been getting a lot of calls from this number,they sound really creepy!
I dialled the BT number 08005875252 as mentioned earlier and have stopped all the calls from getting through to me,yippee!!  Thanks so much.

just had loads of these calls on my land line BUT also got a text from a mate on my mobile same time ..looks as if something is reading his address book on his ipone ....   some game called tap  zoo

Calls 08.30-09.30am but does not speak at Tone from Phone - so I gnore.

I have messege left on my phone

So far 4 calls within 2 hours today. No-one there, just a click. Damned annoying!

yeah we got one this morning but i barred the no so no more problem from them

Just got 3 calls from this number, it appears that it was my dentist sending me text messages to remind my family of their appointments, due to the fact we don't have a modern phone with a screen etc the message could not be displayed as an sms message.

I received two messages today and had to phone my BT answer service, 1571 to get the messages. The first message just read out some numbers, the second was a message from British Gas about not buying electricity on your doorstep. Why they have not come direct to my SMS enabled phone I don't know.

we have had 10 calls in 3 hours from this number and on returning the call it states you have a text message from BT/text. Phone the premium number to be told visit the bT website. done that and it then says phone 08456021111, which tells you to go to the BT website www.bt.com/bttext
joke and not funny, it's disrupting my day.

I answered the first call but after asking for my boyfriend they hung up when he got there!!  They originally call from an 01204 number and won't stop.  I decided to answer the second call of this morning but it was an SMS message from someone at Argos saying that he needs to call them about his account.  If it's urgent they can write to him rather than pester us everyday by phone!!

been getting these for days now the last ten minutes ago its bt sms so just foned bt went to nuisence call menu talked to operator who has just opted me out of receiving any more of them she said it would take bout twenty minutes to be updated on system so we will see hope this helps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i bein getting call from this number 08005875290 for past few weeks    but tonight  23:54 26/06/11  taking piss  4 times an hour  like it on a program to call    same as others  4 sec  cut off    but 800 not ment to call after 9pm

Thanks you very much for that. I rang the number you have given & I was indeed able to disable SMS service, so hopefully I wont get anymore calls. Strange thing is I didn't have the SMS service in the first place!!!

For me it turned out to be a reminder of dental appointment.

i recieved a voice message from this number 08005875290 at 8.13pm. the message was Becky had died and her family are at peace!

Another annoying parasitic Git

I received several calls from this number today on my mobile, which is of course SMS enabled.  They had a ridiculously short time to allow an answer- cut off when I did. Assumed they were nuisance sales calls as mentioned above; eventually got through and found it was a harmless and informative SMS text message from friends on holiday in remote W Scotland, but with a mobile, I think. So why didn't I get it as a text. Very annoying, message difficult to understand and number displayed is unhelpful. Get your act together, BT¬
