I have just received another of these annoying calls , pressed 1471 , got a message saying it was the wrong number

0800 587 5290 rang me at 07.51 this morning. Answered it, but it was automated and just giving out random numbers!!

silent call.nothing on the end when I pick up..
Its called before on a number of occasions.I now use caller display so ignore it,Still a nuisance though.

Rang at 07.10 on a Sunday morning!!! Is a scam although didn't get to the phone on time. Particularly malicious as anyone would think it's an important phone call at that time!

This number rang today at 7.03 AM!!!! with two elderly and ill parents in the house how unacceptable is this!

Called 5 times within an hour, landline number never given out as just plugged if we want to use landline for external calls.

this 08005875290 sms call coming call all time. on 12th april 2016. this call from saiful hague and gongdhing wu and they told me talktalk engineers. later they took out from my HSBC bank £804. and from money gram service £1080. that all amount stop from HSBC BANK. THEN AFTER couple of weeks started coming call this 08005875290 and when pick up phone goes streght SMS

Something to do with SMS. Didn't like the sound of it so pressed 4 to opt out.

This number phones a couple of times at evening time getting fed up

This is a scam.

Real SMS deliveries from BT come from 08456021111 and the preamble begins: "This is the SMS text delivery service FROM BT".

The calls from 08005875290 are using a spoofed CallerId and just say "This is the SMS text delivery service" (nothing about BT).

The text part of the message is not text-to-speech (computer generated), it is a human voice.

The message is trying to get you to call a premium rate number.

Calling 08005875290 will allow you to control legitimate SMS calls from BT but it won't stop this rubbish.

08005875290, called my landline and left a muddled sms message. Not impressed as sunday evening and unknown number!

I can't believe that nothing has been done about this number considering it's been going on since 2007 and is taking up 45 pages on this site!

Called my landline about half an hour ago, I didn't answer and there was no message left.

This Number called at 6.51AM today. I had to leap out of bed and come downstairs, thankfully I didn't get there in time.
Very annoying as I'm not too well and am awaiting an operation. Can NOTHING be done about these low life ?
