Called three times in 20 minutes.  No one there when call is answered.

This is a received text message via BT Landline. Had me puzzled for a while until I checked my BT text message phone to see text messages had been left.
Google with the phone number (no spaces) and some explanatory info comes up (as of today)

had several calls between 5.30 and 8.00 on sunday evening then an individual call at 11.20pm

Constant phone calls today and no-one speaks, no noises in the background either, just nothing!

Thank you - this is very useful. I have had calls all day which I thought were nuisance calls. I found I could completely disable the voice text service by calling the number of the message 08455021111.

Something to do with Kingston Communications, the telecoms provider that serves Hull, Yorkshire.  I can't quite understand it, but perhaps you can, if you follow this link:

Am ill in bed. My phone has now rung on the hour for 4 hours. I am fed up!
What do you do? complain the watchdog? I got this number from 1471. I have traced this call as being from Kingston Communications

I had a call from this number 3x in 20 min the line was silent then it goes dead after about 4 seconds.
i googled the number and it came up with Kingston communications maybe they are caling numbers to see if they belong to anyone then will call again trying to sell stuff....

Oh My God!! This Number Has Rung 10 Times In The Last 15 Minutes! It Is Ringing Again Now!! I AM ILL!! :@ At Least Im Not The Only One Though. It Is VERY Annoying!!

Same as other people and recwived calll3 4 times in an hour, I was tempted not to answer but am awaiting another call. worrying and very annoying

4 calls last night and the last were 23.22 and 02.22am!!!

Try calling the number back and it well advise you that you have received a text message to your land line. If you do not call back the 0845 number and retrieve the text the system will keep trying to call you. You can opt out of receiving these texts and it is nothing to do with Kingston Communications. It is 'SMS text from BT'

We have called the text line and tried to receive the apparent SMS and it says we dont have one!!!!We then called the 08005875252 number and chose the option that we don't want to receive the text service at ANY time, and were then called at 1.15am and 4am this morning! We checked the setup and it still says we have chosen not to have the 'service' - so I am waiting for BT to roll in at 8am so I can give them a rollicking. Just a shame I couldn't do this at 4am.

I also received three silent calls from this number this morning, but if it is BT with text messages i am confused as i already receive texts straight to my phone which is SMS compatible?

Had 2x calls from this number this evening.

Had five calls from this number this evening, eventually a "voice" text message came through, which is strange as the phone is SMS enabled.  It appears that all texts sent to the landline go through BT's SMS messaging service even though I am on cable!  This has just started to happen as previously received texts as you would on a mobile phone.

Called three times in space of 10 miunutes, sent a message from home phone, began to call.

i havent got a bt line mines through cable and ime still getting the calls

it wouldnt be so bad if you could understand the message it sounded like gobble-de-[***]! I suppose they have charged an arm and a leg to listen to it .
