I have had 7 calls now from 08005875290  I tried to contact them to see who they are but the call just terminated.

I have stopped all text messages to my ex-directory number.

This is seriously getting on my nerves now. I have a mentally ill wife and these calls are not needed. I am set up not to recieve these although this should not make a difference as we are not with BT we are with Orange. Even answering and deleting the message it will call back an hour later with the same message. Anyone have an idea of a number I can call to speak to someone to get rid of these. This is a massive piss take. The message what I can understand of it prattles on about an email I have recieved and some free software I need to download and a code I should enter. Obvious scam of some sort why would I want to download some crappy software then have to have a code sms'd to my phone. Bizarre.

got a call from this at 6AM !!

Have heard a call from this number (work in a call centre) and it was a text to voice service for deaf people.

Unwanted calls; we are supposedly on the directory to prevent these callsas well as being X-directory

I am not with bt but I get this numer come up on my land line anyone know why

I received a call in text form at 7am this morning saying aunt bev, my sister died last night.  I have not been able to confim this. all I have is a number 08005675290.  I am 76 and it caused me much distress.  Please help.  Bev

Its an SMS service.mine was from potential4skills  these have taken over from learn direct.they should have more sense than to send SMS messages to landlines ,but then again they are a government quango

this one chose to wake me up early and of course there was no answer

To stop SMS abuse by BT, dial 0800-587 5252, take option 1, then option 5.

I had a miss call from this number at 8.30 this morning and i'm not with BT. I can see lots of you say it is a sms to your landline number. My phone is telling me there's a message and press 1 if you want to listen to it and when i do there's no message there and there's nothing to say that it's an sms either..  Is it definately a sms text number from BT?
