it's Domestic and General on behalf of SKY

I called them back and got a recorded message saying you we're called by domestic and general in behalf of sky. I already have sky cover so presume they are fishing for new custom.

just to let you all know that this isnt domestic and general on behalf of sky as ive just called them and said they are aware of a scam number going around using there name,so id ignore it if they call again.if in dout call  domestic and general direct.

my husband got a call from this number looking for me as it is a new number and no one has it only sky i was wondering why

It is sky and not a dodgy number

Asked to confirm my  name and address. Then said 'as we dont have your security questions on record could I give them the last TWO numbers of my debit card'.
No way do I give that info over phone to a  stranger, even if it is legitimate.

Person said they were calling from Sky and asked me to confirm my name, address & post code.  Then they said as I didn't have security question / password set up on the account, they asked me to confirm the last digits of the bank account my Sky subscription was paid from!

This number calls me 3 times a day. When I answer they are trying to convince me to 'come back to Sky'. I am already a Sky customer. Very odd indeed.

They said they were Sky then asked me my address, password and mother's maiden name - I hung up and would never give all of that information out over the phone. Clearly a scam.

over friendly lady stating she was from SKY and this was a welcome call. She asked for my full name and full address, then asked for the password on my account. I refused to give her the password or full address. She said to prove who she was she would tell me all the services we had with SKY. I told her I would not give her any further details and hung up. This is not a genuine call, it is dodgy.

I have just had sky fitted, so why would their sales team be calling me?? Glad I googled the number.

I work for Sky guys but I don't know who this number is. But of you get anyone calling you from Sky they are not allowed to confirm any details with you unless you have passed the secuirty questions.

Just had a call from this number, he said he was 'calling from Sky'.
He asked for my address and account password.  I told him to get lost.

Someone rang from 0800 597 9843 and said she was called 'Nancy' and it was a welcome call from SKY.  Then started to ask me questions.  I didn't answer any questions but said "how do I know your from SKY" and she said she could confirm the date I joined.  When I then started to say - "but that doesn't prove anything ----  she suddenly said "oh I cant go through it with you now because my systems just gone down - I'll have to call you back" - and she then hung up.  Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy !!!!

Domestic & General given your number by SKY because they want to sell you insurance for your SKY box for £90 odd.
Thing is, SKY should not give them your number especially if you've ticked the box! but then theres a little profit in it for them!

I keep getting calls from this number too.  Haven't yet answered them and am glad I googled the number first.

It is sky,they rang me other day,said it was a welcome call as I'd just joined,confirmed my name,address and postcode with them,and my password,told them I had a fault with my box,they arranged an engineer visit,which took place two days later.the Guy came in a sky uniform in a sky van,my sky box is now fixed.

Dpa has to be done before they can enter your account anyway,people can be too paranoid cos of all criminals and rip off merchants out there!

This number keeps calling me but I ignore it as I've googled the number before and read these comments. On this occasion though I was at my next door neighbours little boys birthday party so my 13 year olds on answered the phone. In which  they asked for me... When he said I wasn't there the lady on the phone started to ask him questions of where I was which made him panic and he just told her I was in the bath.
DEFINATLY a strange caller
