this is not sky and if it is then they need to seriously look at there customer service. I was told that I needed to confirm who I was by giving last numbers of my bank account and then they would set up a security question based on my mothers maiden name. The worrying fact is that they seem to have some sky details as I have only just joined. Is there a person within sky advising an illegitimate organisation of new customers? I will report this to sky

This number is definitely sky, there is nothing they can do with the last 2 digits of your account number, this is the same security they ask for when setting up an online account.

Once you have gone through security they confirm every bit of info from your sky account. All it is, they're offering their cover for your box as only Virgin boxes are insured from the company themselves. Chill out people

they have called my home phone and now my mobile today. wanted my name, address and last two digits of card I use to pay bill. I stopped at the card numbers as something didn't feel right.

I just had a phone call of this number.  A woman answered and said she was calling from sky, she knew my second name then asked for my address - which i stupidly gave her and then she put the down. How strange!

I am getting up to 5 calls a day off this number 0800 5979843 latest time being at 10.30pm I have not answered if they are tht desparate to speak they can leave a voicemail for  me but nothing .

It is Sky, I just rang them back and although Sky can't confirm the phone number used they can confirm that there was access on my account from the warranty team at the time they called me

I got a call from this number and when I answered it sounded like a call centre and then the line went dead, so think as they seem to a pestering company will put them into the blocked section! I've only just gone back to Sky! Don't need hassle from companies thinking they'll get more money out of me!

Guys use your common sense. if you recieve the call, ask the full name of agent, full adress of the loction agent is calling from and then company the aent is from. It will put hairs on your chest and avoid you swarming to silly websites like this.

Sky work closeley with Domestic & General to endorse and brand Sky Protect. Domestic and General Underwrite it, and insure it. (Because Sky are not an insurance company, if you didnt know that already..

The reason agents dont say its a welcome call on behalf of sky from domestic and general, (well think about it.. why do you all think they dont say that bit? Sallllllllllllllllllllllllllllles numbers!

I got a call from this number, heard a female laugh and then they hung up. Very odd.

Do not go ahead, ever since I answered their questions I've been on the phone endless times with my bank for fraud activity! The very day I got their call someone bought a ticket from National Express, top ups etc! My card has been blocked and I definitely won't make the same mistake again.

I had a call from 0800 5979843 claiming to be sky about new equipment id had installed of which I haven't had any new equipment in years, rang sky gave them the number and was told its a scam, if sky ring you its from an 0300 number not 0800

Only me can fall for this what a tit I am I didn't agree to anything once she asked if it sounded good I said I need to talk to my partner and can they call me back that's after saying what package I have and telling me what to do with box sets when there due ro run out mmmm now ringing sky x

I just registered. They know it. They have my mobile and land-line number.
They asked, to "confirm", my name and address. Then they asked for my sky password for the same reason.  Of course I refused to give the information and they just hanged up not happy at all !!!
Be careful with them. They keep calling all the time.

this number called my home number...which is ex directory and straight after the same number called my mobile,  I didn't answer either.

What a [***] the cow on the phone said she was from sky and asked me 20 questions about my account??
Because I didn't give her my password she slammed the phone down on me..

constantly ringing my mobile

This number rang three times daily, eventually I answered to have a guy say he was from sky and it was to insure my sky equipment and TVs etc etc sounded ok until he asked for bank details. Rang sky didn't really want to know and could not confirm number.
