Had phone call claiming to be sky welcome. I asked for proof and he said he could give me my sky account number. I refused his offer and I said i dont think you are allowed to give out personal data if you are from sky without security questions. Right at the  beginning of the call I thought I heard him say sky protect before he said sky welcome

He asked no security questions of me that's why I think it's a scam.

If you type in insurance on your Sky account or the Sky official website, there is a telephone number (0800 497 0660) this number is for Sky Protect  Domestic & General, who work on behalf of Sky. I called this number and they confirmed that 08005979843 is one of their out going numbers, from the Sky insurance welcome team.
The official Sky website should really list the outgoing number/s from Sky Domestic and General, so we dont have to do all this detective work.

Call me so many times, I’ve just answered and they asked me loads of personal questions, when they asked for my password and mother’s maiden name I hung up.

this number calls me at least twice a day and saying they are from amazon

I've just received a call from this number when I answered they hung up so googled and glad I did as I'll now block the number. Very useful reading all your comments thanks.

A new sky box ! And a load of calls from this number  just blocked them and move on

Rang on consecutive days. Didn’t answer, as didn’t recognise the number. Now blocked the number on my mobile. Sky Shield on my landline. If Sky want me they can email me.

Multiple calls received from this number. It isn't from anyone I know, however I have also been getting spam texts telling me I've got a tax rebate etc that are obviously scams. I suspect this number to be related to that since both calls and texts started at around the same time. Blocked.

Woman rang said she was from Sky. Asked  for sky password to access our account!!!??? Spoke to my wife as I was out. Said she will ring back at 6.00 hope she does as I will tell her where to go. 🤪🤪

I just recieved a call from this number, sked me how I'm enjoying my new sky q, claimed to be calling to help me with free features on sky, said he needed to ask me some security questions, I said goodbye

Had several calls from this number,got fed up of saying i was busy so spoke to them today when they called again. She said she was from Sky, asked my address and password. then said she was actually from D&G and was selling insurance including for my TVs. Sounded good until she asked for bank details. when i refused she couldn't get off the phone quickly enough.

I had a missed call on my mobile plus a voicemail, I could hear breathing, quiet back ground clatter and whispering of the word “yes” a noise like someone blowing their nose,

Didn't answer the call, even though my mobile had Sky ID on the screen. Never had a call from them in the 6 years I've been a customer. Thought "They must be  trying to sell me something"!

Trying to force skyq customers to insure the dish & sky box even though there insured already by sky themselves!
Sky said they dont tell them but im starting to wonder if its the truth as why would calls start within a few days of getting skyq installed 🤔
