It's NPower, I called it back from my desk phone at work which is untracable. I got a recorded message telling me to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to remove the number from the list. 2 didn't do anything apart from put me on hold and then beep at me, I didn't want to speak to an advisor. I'm pretty sure I don't owe them any money (there's always a chance!) and the nature of the recorded msg inclines me to believe that it is a marketing thingo.

Been call 5 times in past two phone rings twice then drops the line.
What a pain.

This is apparently NPower, I guess they want me to switch. After annoying me no a chance they are definitely off any list of mine. The only possible plus is that if you answer they give you the option of removing yourself from their database.Option 2.  Hope it works.

yes i have had the same issue as well, i pick the call up after the first ring and they hang up.

I had few phone calls form that number in the past 3 days(5 calls).As they call me while I'm working I have never answerd it.
Any idea who is it?No message was left and I don't want to call them back.

im only 12 and i've been called by this number 16 times this week, some guy on the other end says that your house is on fire, but when i go home from school it wasn't and the person repeated it at least every day or 5 times a day at times. How can i block this number

We had a spate of calls from this number some months ago but we were never in to answer them all roughly about the same time in the afternoon`s 4.30 ish, when we get home we would always do a 1471 to see who had called it was the above number every time.
Well we have not long had another call from that number, so it seems we maybe going to have them again.
If as some folk on here say its all from N.POWER why can ofcom do nothing to stop them? surely this is tantamount to harassment.
Last time it happened we ignored it at the time it rang, and checked afterwards in case it was one of our children calling.

I have also had 3 missed calls from this number. It rings 3 times and then hangs up....I believe they are wanting me to call back. must admit i think it's a scam.

OH well i looks like they have started again----as i said yesterday we received a call at 4.30 ish
we have just had another one to-day at 2.02 presumably the same company ,as no one spoke

WELL- well -well it rang again today and a nice man from N-POWER  (in a very noisy office )spoke to me about changing GAS & ELEC, over to  them ,but as it turned out they could not match it, price wise
to which he apologised-thanked me for my time and put down the receiver,
I just wish it happened like that to all of you

I keep getting calls from this number when i am at school and so far i have had more the 20 calls so i would like them to stop and when i pick up the phone they do not say any thing accept hello would you like and then they hang up

i called this number back after i'd had about a dozen missed calls from them, the recorded message says Npower

They rang at about 6.35pm there was background noise but no speech I said hello  more noise then they hung up least i know now they are Npower but i'm not interested

This number has just called me and asked to speak to a Mrs Gerard (not my name but I do have a son called Gerard).  When I said that no one of that name lived here they apologised and said they must have the wrong number, I then told them that I thought they had the right number but the wrong name.  They said ok and apologised again.  I then asked them to take me off their list and he agreed.

I get approx 5 calls from this number each day - I leave it for my ansaphone to pick up and no-one ever leaves a message - mmmm wonder why ???

Would be interested to know who and why they're calling me but won't call them back having read about the number on this site !

They called this morning, asking to speak to the person responsible for paying the Gas & electricity..Obviously yet another cold calling saleperson..
When you fill in surveys/reward cards etc, they buy these off the companys and then have access to all your data,phone numbers, address etc

if its a mobile, contact your service provider, ask them to block it, if its landline, contact the police and give them details, they will take the matter up

definately npower, just called me and i managed to answer, it was just a marketing calland they were very polite when i said i wasnt interested.

Called by this number on my mobile. I said hello and they hung up as I answered
