is there no way of blocking the bleming number

Have just had a called traced to this number via 1471.  A woman asked to speak to 'Miss G****', who is my daughter.  I said she no longer lived with me.  I was asked if I was speaking from a particular road in south London, I said no, this was north-west London, did they need help in contacting her?  The woman just rang off

this number keeps ringing me when i go to answer it stops ringing or when i do answer there is just silence im not ringing it back but they ring upto 5 times a day sometimes

I got a missed call from this number on my mobile today.

i also got a phone call today from this number they asked for a mr fisher yes my surname is fisher but there is no mr in my home they said ok then put the phone down i also had another call the other day from another hoax call the 2nd time in a few wks going on about computers wot id like to know is how they getting my number if im x directory

Received call at 15:31, I was outside in the garden the phone stopped ringing just before I reached it, no message left on answer phone,got number from 1471 cant be bothered to ring back if they cant leave a message.

I get daily calls from this telemarketing company since I forgot to click a no further contact box while getting a new gas and electric quote, I have told them many times to remove my number but continue to get pestered.

Hey everyone

Just to let you all know this number is definately an  npower number, if you receive a call from it and want no further contact, tell the agent that you are the billpayer, then ask to be removed from the calling list. That should sort it.

On the repetitive calls issue, our system is set so that if there's no answer it will dial the number every half hour. Best bet there is to answer otherwise it's persistent.

As a side note anyone calling to get a quote, say that you're currently looking online, then the agents can offer better deals.  

Any other questions or rants I'll try answer.

keep getting calls from this number every day now, its getting annoying as my number is not listed.
have registered with the tps hope this does the trick.

rang this number back as curious and fed up. GUESS WHAT, IT WAS N POWER.! PRESSED NUMBER 2 TO REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR LIST. hope this works.

It's NPower calling trying to make you switch energy provider.

ive had at least 4 calls a day over the past week AARRGGH is there any way to stop them calling

If anyone is having problems with this number it is a cold call from npower if u call the number back then press number 2 on your phone it takes u off their call list. Hope this gives u some peace. :-)

This number call sometime upto 3-4 times a day. I have no intention of answering it but it is annoying because I end up with 3-4 silent messages on my answering machine.

I was also getting daily calls from companies offering to get me compensation for payment protection insurance. When I asked how they got my number they said it was through a website called "Money Supermarket". I do remember using the site to check out home insurance deals but didn't they would be using by details in such a way. I shall be wary of all such sites in future.

Hey aj, numbers are tps screened before they go into the dialler. If npower are calling you already, best bet is to answer and ask to be removed from the calling list, otherwise they will keep calling.

over the last 3 to 4 week i have been recieving calls from this number on a daily basis. i answerd the call the first couple of times they rang but they just ended the call without speaking. its really getting anoying now
