Report a phone call from 08009555544 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Greg| 1 replyHave been getting many 08009555544 and 0448009886009 calls, finally tracked, they are from TalkTalk Customer Service (which is part of TalkTalk, who in turn use OPAL which is a division of TalkTalk Group (Opal provide talkTalk telecom services), TalkTalk are in fact the Land Line part of Carphone Warehouse (the controlling company).
Therefore the above numbers get routed through these other companies and to protect TalkTalk get transformed from the original TalkTalk Customer Service number.
Hope this makes some sense, you should not be charged in any way for these calls. - Jobsworth| 1 replyI can confirm this number is used by TalkTalk (Carphone Warehouse).
Although totally unannounced the gentleman was very patient and understanding when I expressed by doubts.
He allowed me to hang up to be able to have time to check he was genuine and gave his direct phone number.
All information given checks out and the matter was dealt with.
I have been victim of a scam recently and hope this website continues to help prevent others falling for the same trap.- Caller: Talk Talk (Carphone Warehouse)

- Dingle replies to sunshineHow can it be a scam if they are asking you to attend an interview?
08009555544 is the blanket number for Talk Talk, You will get calls from this number if you have reported a fault to TT Customer Services (08009555544 is from the UK based offices) - Anony moose!Hey guys, I'm a business to business sales consultant for Opal telecoms based in Birchwood - Warrington.
There's around 600 people using this number outbound on a daily basis, Obviously we've de-merged from the carphone warehouse now, but there's about 20 different departments on this number, I believe its only Talk Talk and Opal that now use this number, myself being one of those!
Not worked here for long, but so far i love the company... gutted you guys are getting pestered by us, or have been in the past!
I've noticed a lot of the employees here will 'skip' calls by ringing them, leaving it to ring once or twice and putting the outcome as 'answer phone' this shows on the managers stats that you have been calling out, but it affects you guys when your being pestered with missed calls all day.
Apologies! I'll make sure I don't do it myself! Hope this explains things for you all :-)- Caller: Opal Telecom
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ryanGot a phone call from carphone warhouse shortly after asking a question on their website they left me with a 15min voice mail message of two call center girls have a good old chat

- Peter| 1 replyBeen called several times by this number over the last few weeks but have been out.
Called today and was told it was OPAL broadband telling me they needed to change over my account?
(Was with Nildram for broadband but they were taken over by OPAL this year)
Caller asked me who my line rental was with which immediately raised suspicions so i asked why they needed to know, caller then hung up.
This was OPAL trying to get me to terminate my BT line rental, and get line rental through them.
Sneaky b%^stards- Caller: OPAL
- BobThis is Talktalk's customer service number as I've rung it for a MAC code and had them ring back and it has appeared on caller display. It is quite common within Talktalk for parts of it not to know what telephone numbers they use having taken over various companies and moved functions between them.
- ding dong replies to Me| 1 replyit is a carphone warehouse number
- BM replies to ding dongThis isn't a Carphone Warehouse number as TalkTalk are no longer part of the group but a separate company now. But it is a general number that is used when making outbound calls from within the Warrington Call centre so could be used by various departments.
- Jason| 2 repliesWe've been waiting for a call back from these idiots for days, wasted many hours trying to get moved from there idiotic P... poor customer services and lying staff, who never call back, they usually let it ring once then hangup and say on there logs they called you but you didnt respond. This happens even if you get to the phone and pick it up they then hang up on you.
DO NOT USE TALK TALK BEWARE< thye are cheap and nasty for a good reason, indian call centres the latest scam is they all pretend to be each others supervisor, they have no ability to get in contact with the UK, head office and the uk head office doesn't care if they have to deal with a customer.
WANT MASSes and just ignore you serviec complaints . well these are the guys. And if any one of the management team had any B...s to listen to the recorded calls I've had with there staff. I 'd love some comment on what they are goign to do about it. They are about as bad as you can get, BT only a little bit worse for lying.- Caller: talk talk
- nicole123I ignored the call, then had a voicemail from a very rude girl with a liverpool accent "Hi Chloe, i work for talk talk and your car is blocking me in can ya move it like now".
My name is not Chloe and my car is in my drive haha!- Caller: talk talk
- Conned replies to Jason| 1 replyToo right Jason. They have call centres in India and South Africa (perfect English but strongly accented to the point they cannot be understood). I have been lied to consistently, every promise made has been broken. I have sent a detailed, strong letter of complaint (Recorded delivery) to Customer Liaison Dept with a copy to Head of Complaints, CEO's Office. Their reply: they can't reply to me in writing under the Data Protection Act as I haven't PROVED I'm ME!! Keep getting calls from the 0800 number but they just put the phone down and log as "Answerphone". I have been conned and am now taking legal advice. I have also cancelled my Direct Debit to stop them taking monies under false pretences. They owe me money! If they want to take me to Court, bring it on.
