Just received call stating won luxury holiday for 4 after filling in survey at airport.Just ring the number 08009889900. No catches. yeh sure! googled number glad I did

Answered a questionnaire at Bristol Airport in December, told I would be entered into a competition. Was phoned tonight and told that I had won a holiday for 4 to Spain, Portugal or the Canaries.
I was suspicious because of the tone of the caller, she didn't seem overjoyed that I had won, very deadpan tone. I'm glad I put the number to call into Google because you have confirmed my suspicion.

I entered a competion a week ago I strted reciving a lot of e-mails and phone calls asking me to phone them but I didnt I then got a phone call from this lady telling me that I had won a holiday to Spain and other places all I needed to do was free phone 08009889900 and I did and I had to held in a que. So I went on the internet and found that people were talking about the same number so I thought this could be a scame.

had a call today regarding a questionnaire filled out last year......was sceptical but let him go on.....did not ring the number he gave me as was sure this holiday i had allegedly won seemed to good to be true !!!!!! and after checking here it seems i was right

Had a call today saying we had won a luxury holday for 4 as we had filled in a questionnaire at the Destinations Holiday Show at Earl's Court and we should ring this number to collect. I said sounds like a con and was told no, but they declined to say how many had won and I could hear the hubbub of a call centre in the background.  The show was littered with competitions asking us to fill forms in to win various bits, this one I recall was the only one filled in on our behalf by someone accosting people just for that reason. I won't be following up.

Hey I used to work for this company and although I left on bad terms I will say one thing for them, they never tell anyone that they have WON a holiday they say they have been selected to receive a promotional holiday award which is fair enough realy because promotional means it is a form of advertising ergo sales. All calls are recorded and if an employee tells a customer they have won it results in instant dismisal, sometimes people only hear what they want to hear though. I also sent my parents on one of the holidays and they had a fantastic time without buying any timeshare.

Just had the call - I asked 3 times what would I be expected to buy - he LAUGHED, saying: 'nothing, you've WON the holiday's a prize'. When I pointed out there were 5 in my family he said I could pay for the extra flight! Was also offered the shopping vouchers. Would need to go to Solihull to collect the tickets - when I questioned if it would involve sitting through a hard sell presentation, he LAUGHED again saying: 'no just to collect the tickets'.  Glad I googled the number and have seen all the comments - if they phone back again -I'll see how long I can keep them waiting on the line - I'll be the one laughing!

just had THE CALL Said i had won a holiday call in 30 minutes to claim glad i googled the number they had my details from Malaga airportdon't know where they got the details though

Called on mobile, this morning, told had won holiday and to call this number. Caller refers to competition that i'd supposedly entered some months ago from a company in Cornwall. As I don't enter comps it sounded a bit sus.

Am I unusual in that I DID remember filling in a 'Free Prize Draw' form ? at Bristol airport.Now I've won !I can have the holiday for 4 AND the £50 vouchers..if I sit through..yea, you've guessed it. I do remember a friend's parents, several years ago, saw the whole proceedure through to the bitter end and was given a holiday which had to be taken from an airport miles away and on some obscure date..either Christmas morning or Boxing day or whatever. It's as we all thought..no such thing as a free lunch !

we filled out a holiday questionaire at bristol airport a few days ago (Fri) tonight (wed) we recieved a phone call to say that we had won a holiday after being entered in the compotition all we had to do is call 08009889900 and quote the reference number to claim our prize of a holiday up to the value of £1500 which must be taken in the next 18 months! thought we would check out the number first very glad we did! although a little gutted it wasnt guenuine!!

Got 'THE' call, this time it was from Orlando Holidays (Orlando wasn't a holiday option, go figure!), I got all excited as my other half enters compotitions all the time and thought it had finally come good.  I tapped the contact number into google just to check, and here we are...

Incidently, the hammer that set off alarm bells for me was the lady on the other end of the phone.  She was in such a rush to get rid of me after telling me I'd (well my other half) had won a holiday.  Guess she has a lot more phone calls to make!

Had a call from a witheld number, told I'd won a holiday - free flights and accommodation. Had to ring 0800 988 9900 to claim my prize. Rung them and they started asking questions - when I wouldn't tell them whether our income was more or less than 25000 they said I couldn't continue - very suspicious that they need to know how much I earn to give me a free holiday!!!

Got a call to say that I had won a holiday.  they seemed to know a lot of things about me and my partner's name.  I can't remember filling in the alleged survey but then again my memory is not what it used to be!  No mention of freephone number however got a letter from them this morning telling me that I had to go to some country club miles away to claim it - as a bonus I would also receive 50 quid in shopping vouchers. I am glad to say all your comments have saved me!  Thought it was too good to be true - Its a shame as well becuase a lot of vulnerable people, who particularly in this delicate financial climate - may waste their time on this scam.

Same - won a holiday etc 7 nights up to 4 people flights included within the next 18 months.
Forget it in the light of all these comments.

u silly people, just all follow the leader/comments! your loss, i had a fantastic time - and i google them first - your just a very small number of people and they award a lot of these holidays - go on go with first choice or thompson and get whatt you pay for - i loved every minute with clc so took a trial membership - off again in a few weeks and summer and winter again, hahahahaha - follow the comments your just probably not worthy of there resorts anyway, dats why they want certain people on there resorts,hence the questions they ask on the calls - people like me - with class, jobs and not vicky pollards like yourselves probably, that will lower the tone! and oh by the way, i own my own company!

These people are not allowed to call up and LIE to you! They should be shot! If a company claims something at first then changes their minds, thats illegal!
If you can prove of this (record a conversation) you should be able to take these idiots to court.
