Got a few missed calls today from this 01268557600 number - tried to call back but it was invalid.  Was rung at 17:40 and advised we had won a 7 night inclusive holiday and that I should call 08009889904 to register detail.  Was told by attending the exhibition that we would not be required to join.  To take advantage of the free holiday (flights and accomm - self catering) we would need to attend the exhibition.

I clarified that the only requirement for the free holiday was
    (a) attend the exhibition in London
    (b) attend the welcome at the resort
    (c) £29.50 per adult only to pay for the free holiday.

I advised then we are not in any position whatsoever to partake in any timeshare and this was no problem and that we would not be required to become members at all and that they only ask that we recommend their resorts to friends and colleagues.

I am open minded about this and quite undertand this company deal in property management but it is just a different kind of marketing approach.

I see quite alot of negative press but the proof is in taking it on and trying it for then can you only gauge if it has cost you anymore stress, financial loss etc.
    Has anyone
    (a) attended the exhibition
    (b) booked their 7 night holiday
    (c) paid out only £29.50 per adult from the beginning of the experience to the end of the holiday

Recently at an agricultural show, Giraffepromotions.com asked me if I wanted to enter a holiday comp and took a lot of personal details. He asked me to lie if I won to say I own a house and I have a job, both of which I said No to at the time. Today they rang to confirm the details and to say I'd won and I should call, guess what? 0800 9889900. I still have the receipt for entry which has small print on the back which says they have the right to call asking me to attend a presentation. I won't be calling.

A day after I was told I'd won, CLC holidays rang to find out why I hadn't "claimed" my free holiday. I said it was a scam and I'd be forced to endure a 5 hour timeshare presentation. She accused me of being rude and kept asserting I'd won a holiday when I clearly hadn't. After a disagreeable phone call where I was accused of all sorts, she admitted it was a timeshare presentation.

Was called today and given this number and ref and told I had won some flights and to call this number quick to receive an extra £50. Said I had entered a comp and it had come up on their data base. Instead of calling it i put the number in on search engine

About half an hour ago I got a call from a very excited lady congratulating me the holiday (flights and accomodation) id won for two people in europe.

She mentioned I'd entered the competition on 'the big prize draw' and confirmed my email address, date of birth and my living arrangement with my 'partner', didn't have the heart to tell her it was actually my flat mate.

I said I was at work and unable to talk and she said it was no problem and she'd send me a message with my 'winning' reference and the number to call... 0800 988 9900! Googled it straight away.

I'm wondering if they'll change their minds when I tell them I rent my place and not own my place?

I may well go along to the presentation for the fun of it...

Just had a call from a "Private" number and as per previous people i'd won a holiday for 4 to a European destination (airfairs and accommodation), just call 0800 988 9900 within 30 mins to claim.

I remember entering the comp' at Bristol Airport on 26th August 2009, was told it was run by Bristol Airport Marketing when I queried it at the time. I'm guessing they're not really involved with time share scammers, shame on them if they are!

I received a call today, INSTANTLY  i wasn't convinced about the free holiday. She told me to ring the free phone number before 1 pm today to inform them that I will be accepting the offer. I did exactly that and they weren't even open to take my call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After reading all the posted messages I certainly won't be calling them again.

    Not being conned
These people have been ringing constantly for days now.  3 and 4 times a day - obviously desperate for me to claim my FREE prize!!!  Apparently I have won a 'review' holiday at a luxury destination - flights included, all I need is spending money and on top of that if I phone within 20 minutes I have won £50 worth of high street vouchers.  So straight away I twig that it is a con but took great pleasure out of playing along... "ooh, that's fantastic, wow I am really excited... of course, I will phone the freephone number straight away, I need to know when to book time of work" I told her.  It was great to hear the cockney accent on the other end getting more excited by the second (nothing against the lovely people down south I hasten to add).  I could hear it in her voice, here's another sucker! Straight away I google the freephone number out of interest!  Don't be fooled by these people!  Give them a wide berth and steer clear!!!

Received a call at home about 2 weeks ago asking for me by name and then confirmed my address and tel. number. Call consisted of questions/survey regarding house insurance/car renewals etc and then went onto my ideal holiday destination etc. Just received a call 1/2 hour ago from "Mischa" informing me as a result of the telesales survey I had won a holiday in Europe at one of their "luxurious resorts" and had up to 18 months to take the holiday. Told "Mischa" that I couldn't help thinking "What,s the catch?". Was told this was understandable but there was no catch and all I had to do was call their travel company immediately  on 0800 9889900 quoting my winning 11 digit reference number and all the details would be given of the holiday.
I decided to google the number before ringing it and was hardly surprised to see about a dozen forums involving the same number. I won't be calling the number as I,m now sure at the very least there is a "meeting" to attend and I have neither the time or patience to attend such a thing. Thanks to all the people who took the time to blog their experiences.
To the person/people who has left positive feedback, I,m not saying this is a scam but it does make people very suspicious when 1. There is no clear indication of the name of the company calling  2. We have to call another number to claim the prize, again with no company name, and 3. The positive feedback on this site has no I.D.....VERY SUSS!!

I had a call today targeted at my fiance, they said If I could clarify the questions we would get the reference number and a 0800 number to call (same as that of all comments), called it and congratulated me and notified me of a 29.50 admin and taxes 'very nice'.
invited to a seminar next week in tottenham court rd where i will pick the club le costa destination and receive £70 worth of theatre tickets 'wooo hooo'. To think I told my sceptical brother who laughed out loud and urged me to type the number and see all of the bloody above. sxxt

    HA HA how gullible.

I was in Murcia Airport queuing for boarding and fill up a short survey handed by a women who claimed to be working for a Murcia Airport Survey. 1st Prize a free Holiday for 4.

Guess what, me and my partner(separately)received both a call where we have been told that we had won. Of course they were given our details from that survey. Operator: "Congrats, you have just won the first prize. How you feel about that?". Me: "I am italian, if I don't touch it, I don't believe it!"

Got the phone number 08009889900 to call with the reference...I was asked if I am a House owner and when I said no, she said that I couldn't apply...SUCH A DESPAIR!!!

I have to admit that the guy who called me was incredible polite, sound very professional and was really a good sales (I am in Sales so I know). Such a pity that he does not use his skills for something more prestigious that a cheap SCAM!

Received a call from this number at an awkward moment while out with my children so couldn't think exactly which competition it was from as I recently entered several. The caller said his name was Tom and that I won a top holiday for 4 people offering paid flights and accommodation to one of several destinations including Greece, the Canary Islands, Spain and Portugal. He said that if I called back today to accept, he would throw in £50 spending money. When I asked what the catch was, he said there was no catch. He supplied me with a reference number and asked me to call  0800 9889900. When I asked him what company he was calling from, he actually faltered, began saying one name and then corrected himself and said he was from "First Class Prize". This blunder raised serious doubts with me, and I don't think I will be calling back to claim my great prize!

    For CLC Employee
Your firm must be very successful in getting commitment (agreed buy) from the presentations as the cost for running this is quite expensive.

    a) Print out Survey Flyers
    b) Pay the Survey Person
    c) Pay for the call to tell the targeted person won
    d) Pay for the call received on the 0800
    e) Booking the venue for the presentation
    f) Printing the material for the presentation
    g) Paying the sales for the presentation
    h) And eventually...buy the holiday and flights

@CLC Workers: is true that is a job like many others, but make sure that what your paycheck is higher than what you invest(time & money). Many workers in such schemes (eg. Herbalife) are just used and pull by their legs as those who get called and then sign.

I was called by CLC a year ago with a similar sounding offer. So I directly asked the caller if 'this was a timeshare' thing. She said emphatically that you are 'under no obligation' at any time. This means they must uphold that surely. No oblication means no sitting through a four hour presentation etc etc.
Being a bit of a stickler for this sort of thing due to my profession I'm going to call that number and tackle them head on by repeating and repeating that I 'am under no obligation' and insisiting on the tickets.
They said it was part of 'the Big Draw' competition I had 'entered'. Of course I had not. It's not right really when families are struggling.
