- david reynoldsjust been to collect holiday, loved every minute of it, only took 1 hour and they gave me a holiday worth £1500 and gift vouchers for argos worth £50, holiday sounds really nice, and they said I could take it in school holidays as I have 2 children in school. They were so friendly I really enjoyed the day out and would go again given the chance. dont know who said it was a hard sell but it was more like going round my friends for a cup of tea. hope they ring me next year.
- Mr Smithjust got a call telling me to ring a FREEPHONE number, phoned straight away and was very pleased with what I heard, this is a 100% genuine offer and I feel very lucky I got the call now. My only advice is ring asap to ensure you get your gift vouchers and holiday without any delay.
- fafasfasfmy god i won. yeah right they phone yo and tell you you won but thats is lie as you have to pay 30 pounds when you ook your trip and then pay for airline cost and depending on the time of the year it maybe expesive and you have to travel to the exhibition that means travel cost andthen sit down with people and here what advice they have to give but it not a scam as such as yu have you dont have to pay until you book and sigh as then your in there circle and ou ay fnd it suprisin the cost will build up but have a go if you have time on your hands and see what happens.
- Rein F. DeerI had the same experience but CLC proposed that I ring 0800 988 9904 , which may put some less vigilant people off the scent. well done for keeping up the vigil.RFD
- NeilThis scam is still going on! Had a call today, same old story - 'been selected for a holiday to canary islands'. Bloody rip-off - don't phone this number

- Rose MooreI was called this evening from a witheld number, informing me that I had won a 7 night luxury s/c holiday, free flights, blah blah... and that i should call 0800 988 9900 to book an appointment and be awarded a further £50 in high street shopping vouchers.
This had come about as a result of talking to a Marketing rep. outside a branch of my local Asda store (food shopping questions etc.) last week. At the time it was implied that I had the chance of "winning" a holiday, so when I received tonight's call everything seemed to tally, and I was surprised and happy. I called the number. I'm hoping I haven't been charged £1.50 per minute for my naivety... needless to say, we'll be steering clear of the presentation to sell us a time share!- Caller: Club La Costa
- blackwjoCompany called First class prizes called to say i had won a 7 night holiday of value up to 2K and I have choice of Algarve, southern spain and somewhere else, cant remember where :( Told me to call 0800 988 9900 to claim prize and get details in writing and finished by saying well done and congratulations. Gave me personal ref No. to claim the holiday.

- RamanaI got a call from this number saying that I had won a trip to New york in a big prize draw. I never entered into any competitions.
- MaggieJust got a call from Club La Costa Resorts and Hotels saying I had won a 7-night luxurious holiday for 4 people and could choose between Southern Spain, Canary Islands,or UK Scotland and Cornwall. I was given a reservation code and free phone number 08009889900 and was asked to call within half an hour to get extra £50 high street store vouchers. The chap who had a very strong accent said their company was based in Central London. I did a search online and there is a Club La Costa in London. But all sounded too good to be true. Glad I googled this number and everything seems very clear now.

- TomI usually ignore cold-calling but a couple of years ago my partner was approached in the street and, to cut a long story short, it was Club La Costa. We attended a presentation locally (about an hour)and then were offered a free week in one of their resorts in Tenerife. We had to pay for our own flights and attend another presentation. We went and their accommodation was lovely and to a very good standard. We went to the presentation which, predictably, was all about holiday clubs. It was about 90 mins and a fairly hard sell but we suspected this beforehand and just refused to be brow-beaten. If you've got the will and patience to go through with it it can be a fairly cheap holiday in decent accommodation. They didn't bother us at all during the week except to make sure we were OK and for the presentation, of course. I'm sure not all experiences are good but it may be wrong to just dismiss these approaches out of hand without investigating further.
- LINDYI had call last night to say I had won 7 night holiday, they asked me to cal free number which I just did. I've got to go to a presentation then they give me the vouchers. I think I'll go and see what the crack is I'm not going to buy any thing or give any details. The worst thing could be a waste of time but you never know.
- jennyWas stopped outside local Asda to complete 'quick survey' some weeks ago. Forgot all about it. Today got call from'Paul' to tell me I had won 7 night luxury accommodation for 4, plus 4 return air flights, a choice of 3 destinations and yes ring the freephone number. Am very sceptical, plus don't think I really want to sit for an hour whilst someone does the 'BIG sell'. If in doubt I would always 'Google' it. This site is very helpful. What is it they say?, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.............
- SarahJust had a call from these guys who sound sooooo convincing saying that you've won a holiday for just filling in market research! Yeah right,as if!
Google'd the number & here i am reading all these comments..... - CBJust got a call to phone 0800 988 9900 and quote a ref.no. can't be bothered, thatnks to this website, sounds as if it is a scam to me.
- JJust had call from lady on withheld number.
Said she was from 2-minute draw and i had completed one of their surveys at the dive show (at the london excel centre last weekend). She explained that i had won a free 7 night luxury self catering holiday for 2 including flights. i had to call 0800 9889900 quoting a reference number she gave me before 7pm to claim my prize. If i do, the holiday will be valid for 18 months, but only if i call today before deadline.
I questioned why i had to call to claim my prize! She explained that i had to pay a booking fee = £29.50 each. I just said thank you and hung up.
I immediately wondered what else you have to pay - ie tax/fuel surcharges/transfers, and whats the catch, ie time share etc.... Thats why i checked here, to find its all to do with time share. scary...- Caller: 2 minute draw
- Mr JamesScam scam scam scam scam scam scam scam ########################################################################################################################################################### Don't call they will try sell you a timeshare and if you don't buy they will make it very difficult for you to take their holiday, i.e they will give you the date that you don't want and they will fly you from the furthest airport in the UK. You have been warned.
- AndyCompany somehow associated with Giraffe Promotions. Entered a competion at The Outdoor Show at the NEC and was asked to call this number as "I'd won a holiday". After some probing to the call handler it transpired that I hadn't actually won anything, I'd just "been selected" to win a holiday, but only if I attended the 90 minute marketing presentation in London (and probably paid to join their holiday time-share). I requested full details in writing and was told that "we don't do that". Clearly a scam. Trading standards to be advised!

- JContacted by giraffe promotions following a competition I entered at the vitality show (bullied into entry rather than voluntarily) I was unaware of the company so decided to interestingly search them on the internet. It came up as a timeshare company! Ironically, they called me today to inform me of my win of a florida holiday for 4. Funnily enough I won't be taking them up on their timeshare scam....
