Filled in a questionaire in Lincoln june 9th, received a phone call june 13th, have won a holiday to portugal for four, told to ring 08009889904 to claim my prize, googled the number, read comments on this forum, not going to bother, according to the receipt i was given, the closing date for the draw, is on the 29th june 2008, and the draw will take place within fourteen days, yet another scam no doubt.

we got a telephone call of thease people to say we have won a holiday  7 nights and free flights for 4 people. after filling in a questionaire  in manchester airport . we are going to the presentation in leeds on sunday the 23th of june just to see what happens . i think we too have been drawn in by thease people. but my husband wants to go and just tell them what he thinks of them if it is a skank

Received a call today advising me I had won a holiday from a completed survey - I knew I had not completed anything and I thought my wife had done something over the internet (she had not either)! Having checked it out I now find out it is a scam.  Lucky Anthony had a great holiday (note above) but me I am not so lucky so I will give this one  a miss.

actually went to the meeting could what we were promised did not even have to sit through the 2 hour meeting . was really shocked got the vouchers promised to us and our free holiday have even been giving the holidays i want as i work at a school. some people  said they was aggressive when you say you not intresed in time share  .they were really nice to us so give it a go

Received call from 01268557600 offering a free holiday to one of five destinations because I had completed a questionnaire. Was asked to call 08009889904 within the hour to choose the holiday and to also get £50 spending money.

There is no such thing as free nowadays so google the number first before jumping at the bait.

I have had the same phone call today 01268557600. I was told I've won a holiday for 4 people, 7 nights, SC to any of the following - Portugal / Spain / Canary Islands or Scotland / Cornwall. Was given a reference number & had to call 0800 9889904 - before 5pm, all free blah blah blah. Spoke to a Sharon who took my reference number and all my details!!! All I have to do is attend an exhibition (nearest to me..which is in London) to collect the award. She said we will give you £50 "Shopping Vouchers" for the inconvenience of traveling to the exhibition. Also said to bring my partner along with our passports, utililty bill etc..She's sending me a confimation pack through the post apparently!!! Can't believe I took all that in!!! I'm not going to this exhibition now having read these comments but if anyone does then do let me know what happened!!!

Just recieved the same call willnot be going to the presentation now so much for it being free advertising for them, also disability seems to be a problem for them but its not in our family we come as a package wheelchair and all, what a waste i thought the law was supposed to change re these things roll on when they can they also wanted to make sure we were worth enough for them before they confirmed

It is now July, and I have just received one of these "won a free holiday, call
0800 9889904" phone calls.

I asked the specific question "is this a timeshare related call" to which she
replied "we deal in general holidays, weekend breaks, timeshare, etc, but this
holiday is not related to timeshare".  At which point I Googled and found this
site, which indicates it IS timeshare related.

Either the law hasn't changed to stop these scammers, or they are flouting the law.

i simply dont understand wots going on in this country there is no body to prosecute these scams and bogus companies Giod help this  country. Thx to web site like this to knw all these scams

i had a phone call from them saying i won a holiday and was given a free phone number, they said it was free. I was told i would have to 29.95 near the time of the holiday. My wife filled in a survay at the Grangem(Shop on the ringwood road, dorset 10 days a go. I was told i needed to ring the number straight away. I havent as i feel that this might be a scam

Received a call from 01268 557 600 today and because I never pick up if it's not a number I don't know and I know no one in this area i Googled the number and found all your messages.  Thanks all, you've saved me a waste of time.

It's now July and I have had the same call after completing a 'survey' outside Manchester Piccadilly station last week. It was early and they caught me off-guard as I never complete these things usually. Was called by a very lovely sounding lady who wouldn't give me any further details except that it was completely free and I should call the completely free phone number. Just tried it out of interest and they were fortunately closed, but hopefully I haven't already been charged by re-routing, which I have heard this company sometimes do.
I was very suspicious after the only information correctly quoted back to me from the answers I gave in the questionnaire was my name! So I googled the number, and here I am. The company was CLC travel, who I have also googled and found similar threads and complaints.
Why is no-one stopping these people? And why has the April legislation not changed anything??

They rang from Club La Costa, saying my qusetionaire from 18 months ago has been chosen adn that I have one an all expensis paid holiday to a European location.
Told me to ring 0800 988 9904 with my calim ID within 10 mins to ensure that I got my place.
Searched number on Google - thanks!

Just recieved a call from these people, got told to ring this number, didnt, decided to wind up the woman by repeating the wrong numbers to her. In the end she growled just ring the number and hung up!

I have received a call today, asking me to ring the 08009889904 number.  The number that it came from was withheld!

I have been to a couple of these things before with my parents - sometimes you get a holiday, othertimes it is a big fat waste of time.  If you do end up going on the holiday be prepared for the sell,sell,sell again though.

These things can be worth it - but the one my parents joined is definetly not, even after upgrading their points and spending a few grand on it.

HI, thanks to everyone who have contributed to this warning... they are still at it.  I was given a ticket when I was on holiday in Spain....  The numbers are the same as on this feedback trail.... I won't be following it up.

Just had such a call. Won four tickets for a luxury holiday self-catering based on a survey completed. Only cost would be £79.50 admin charge, payable on collection of tickets from one of a number of their offices. Gave freephone numnber 0800 9889904 and a reference number. Told me to call within next half hour for £50 retail vouchers too. I always check these things out hence this message. Did 1471 and was called by 01268 557600.

Just receive a call from 01268557600 teling me that i'd won a free holiday - accomodation and return flights for 4 people - in either Spain, Portugal or some where as hot.... I didn't sound very convinced and the operator told me I should be really excited!!! Cheek when they'r conning you!!!
Googled the details and found this site!
