Won't go into all the details, exactly the same as everyone elses comments on this site - SCAM!!!

I was asked to complete a survey at Faro airport. Had time to kill so obliged. I was surprised by how few questions were asked and why they wanted my telephone number. I was told there would be a prize draw at the end of the season!! Surprise surprise within three weeks of getting home I had the call telling me I had won (short season?). I was given the telephone number but no pressure to call as the holiday could be taken within the next 18 months. I thought of premium rate lines and upfront non-refundable payments but not timeshare. Thought I would google the number just to see and found this forum. Thanks for pointing out the timeshare angle it will save me a phone call.

I've tonight had a missed call on my mobile from 01268557600 - not recognising the number decided to search on the internet and got through to this forum.  I haven't filled in any surveys so not sure where they got my number from. Thanks for the information as I shall just keep hitting the reject call button if they call again.

I just got a call re the free holiday that i had won one for 4 people, the only catch being i would have to pay £29.50 airport charges and take my own spending money. The freephone number is 08009889904 so thought I'd google it first. I filled in a form at Stoneleigh festival to win an all expenses holiday but the draw doesn't close until 30th September?? Might have known it was a scam. Thanks for the warnings everyone - I shan't bother.

yep so it's a really really important thing we do calling this number to go and sign up to the time share, I just feel really sorry for the chaps that are employed here - imagine how they must feel every time a sucker signs up for a time share.  At least it's a free phone number

Yes I too filled a survey out at Bristol Balloon Fiesta (something I never do) I got a call today from 01268 557600 realised it was a scam but let them ramble on, I hit redial and the number was not recognised - how do they do that? I was told I had to ring the free phone number 0800 988 9904 by Monday or the code would change (whatever that means) apparently I won a holiday, for a family of 4 to take in the next 18 months to Portugal, Spain (and somewhere else although I was nearly asleep by then) I googled the tel number and I am glad I did, needless to say I won't be ringing them!  People like this really should be shut down.

I recieved a call on my mobile today from 01268 557600 2minutedraw.com claiming that I have won a luxury holiday for 4 to either Portugal, southern spain, The Algarve, or the Canary islands. That I needed to ring 0800 9889904 to claim, thought I had nothing to lose at this stage because it was free-phone,I was told all about Haydock and that no kids were allowed and to not bring my credit card as I won't be sold anything. The girl stressed that I needed to have a partner and to be a homeowner and that we needed a combined income of at least £25,000, and to bring ID to Haydock racing course to go through the holiday details with the reps to book. Was told that the only thing to pay at the time of booking was £29.50 pp, I have booked to go to Haydock on 20th Sept at 3pm, but will definitely not be attending but in all honesty, I haven't got the time or energy for these scams, and it is just so good that these types of websites exist, ........hurray!! Oh I also forgot to say that I actually do remember filling in the form with a woman at Manchester airport, but didn't think much of it, who approached us when departing on hols at the airport approx. 3 wks ago, what at surprise!!!

Hi I was approached at Dorset steam fair. The woman scribbled all my details down, it took approx 2 mins. My suspicions arose when she shouted to her colleague "whoopee got another one only 10 more to go". I have just received my phone call from a very friendly lady who will be calling back. guess who won't be answering!!!!

Called me and offered that I had won a holiday in France or any other European Country - was told to call the free phone number 08009889904. I googled the number and found this site. I then have not called the number - Thanks for the helpful comments

I had a call from 01268 555095 in connection with a questionairre I did at Bristol Airport a couple of weeks ago. The patter and procedure were the same as the above, so I won't repeat it.

But SHAME on Bristol Airport for letting these scammers practice their evil work in their terminal. All this, and then I get treated like a criminal for accidentally taking a drink of water through security...

I won't be following up this "prize"

Got a call from 01268557600 said I had filled in a survey at Eastbourne airshow and that I had won a free holiday and should ring 08009889904 to receive my holiday, I immediately asked what the catch was and was told no catch. I rang the later number and sure enough was told yes have won a holiday, but would have to go to the west end to sit through a promotion for 2 hours, would have to pay £29.50 per person + air tax, obviously was quite excited at first then put my sensible head on and thought if I have won a holiday then why do I pay £29.50 booking fee and why do I pay air tax, surely winning a holiday is free.  I then put in the forementioned numbers and found sight, so glad I did.  Oh and by the way company is call CLUB LA COSTA.

I have got a call from 08009889904 . They are offering free holiday package. What should I do?

Just got a call from 01268 5557600 claiming to represent CL Hotels and Resorts - same patter as mentioned by other Bloggers above.  Was told to phone claims number 0800 9889904 to be posted out a pack containing details of a complimentary 7 night break.  

I don't have a fundamental problem with time shares, but I would certainly not support a company that uses dodgy sales tactics.

Exactly the same happened to me about 15 mins ago, rang the number, as soon as she mentioned Haydock Park i remembered we had actually received the same sort of thing through the post a few times now and never bothered then so why should i now especially after reading this forum, thank god for the internet thats all i can say! I wish these people would just give it up!!

Got a call earlier today, thought it was too good to be true, my boss said "why don't you google the number if you're not sure". Very glad I listened to him and found this site!

I cannot believe I fell for it!I did complete a survey at Malaga airport a few weeks ago. I got the call this evening and was asked to ring 08009889904. I did as it was a free phone number. When the first lady rang to say I had won the holiday for four, I asked over and over was this a fiddle, a scam, a time share and was assured it was not. When I rang the 0800 number I asked the same question. I was assured it was genuine. I agreed to go to Tottenham Court Road in London with my husband. As above she wanted to check our income age etc. (Thinking about it why would it matter how much we earned if we getting a free holiday) After trying to convince my husband it was genuine and getting the kids excited, I just thought I would look up the 0800 number to see if they had any details of the resorts. Shock! horror!I found this website. I will not be going to Tottenham Ct Road and I am genuinly looking forward to them ringing me to ask why. I shall certainly be venting my spleen!!!

Filled in a survey in Faro a few weeks ago and got a few missed calls on my phone from the 01268 number. I decided to google it a few days ago and stumbled upon this website. I decided to pick up the phone a few minutes ago to tell them to 'F' off but couldn't scream at the guy because I'm at work. He told me I've won a holiday. He wondered why I didn't sound too happy, I just thought 'because I know it's a scam that's why'. He gave me the 0800 number with a ref. of 22Faro in case anyone wants it, cos I definitely won't be calling.01268855 No doubt I'll get a call asking me why I haven't called the freephone number. I'll give him/her a piece of my mind then! BEWARE, IT'S A SCAM!

I really dont understand all you people's problem. I went to one of the meeting's today, when they asked did we want to join there holiday club, i said no - i got 50 pound in vouchers and my holiday! I shock the man's hand and me and my husband left - I look on this website yest, but i thought - no i won't listen to a small no. of people - Im so happy i ignored you all - it's worth 2 hours out of my day anytime!
