I have been called today, very pleasent people on phone, when i asked about time share they denied it (in a long baffled way?) They have left me a number to call them( the above, of which I goggled!!) after speaking to my hubby he said all seems to good to be true, I have to say I was tempted to do as seemed like a cheap hols. I was just concered it would probably not be a nice place, and we would feel hounded?! I was a liitle put off when they said we had won this holiday but had to go to london to attend a meeting and they couldn't send anything intil I agreed and booked with them, after reading this not going to bother!!! Oh well free holiday is a gonna!!!!!

I have also received a call today from CLC confirming I have won a 7 night luxury holiday for 4 people, I hung up whilst they kept me on the line because alarms bells started ringing.  They called me back and asked me to 0800 988 9904 to claim my holiday.  Luckily I googled the number and read all these messages so I will not be calling them now.

I have done the "meeting" (around 4 and a half hours pressure selling) at Lakeside and then took the holiday and had a great time.  One day was taken up by another 4 to 5 hours selling but despite all this sales pressure we still said no and had a great holiday.  The holiday was in Fuengirola...A big word of warning though .. every sales trick and manipulation of figures is used to make this holiday club appear good and a lot of people were buying and regretting it later..If anybody is considering this holiday and are easily sold to then do your finances a favour and keep away...

This is still going on- nice sounding chap rings, confirms my name and where i filled in the survey, then says that Head Office has been trying to reach me, can I hold while he transfers me. I then get transferred to an older sounding woman who sounds a lot morejaded who was giving me the spiel. While on the phone, googled CLC survey and came across a number of sites. This sort of holiday would never suit me anyway, so wouldn't even be interested even if weren't a hard-sell timeshare thing, but knowing it is has just confirmed my feeling! Thanks to all who have left their feedback- love the Internet- power to the people!

I was called about a free 5 night holiday. I was then told ot go to the Bristol Hilton to collect the holiday package- which I did not do. I was then called again and given a reference number and told to call 08009889904. In the end, decided against it and found this site.

Got a call today from 01268557600. Same story as above, "you have won a holiday for four etc". I had in fact previously filled in a feedback form from a hotel I stayed in and I did start to wonder if I really was the lucky one this time. Got more and more suspicious however and did not like the idea of turning up at Tottenham Court Rd for the promotional thing. I did confirm my postcode etc but did not have to call any number to confirm and I did not give any credit card details, so hope okay. Really happy that I checked it out on the net and found this website!! You are all so right; it is a scam!!!!!

Different number same Scam, Claiming a Disney Land or Mexico Beach Holiday free.

I have just had a call from 01268557600 - telling me that I won a holiday for four in a choice of Tenerife, Costa del Sol or Algarve. I would have to pay a booking fee of £29.50 each and must go to Windmill Street with my husband to pick them up!!!! I said we could not attend - far too busy, lady was a little put off and said you won't get the free holiday then! Scam - they only want us there for some hard sell. What I don't like is that they said I completed a survey online on Sony website - I don't recall this and expect that it is not something Sony would want to be associated with!

My husband got a call yesterday to say I had won a holiday to either Spain or Portugal, following an online survey I did in January.  My husband says it was a bad line and so he could not get the name of the company.  He told the woman on the phone that it was most unlikely that I would have completed an online survey to win a holiday, and that I  would not have given my personal details in any unsolicited online activity (this is true so I have no idea how they got my name and home phone number when we are ex-directory).  He asked  the caller to ring back in the evening to speak with me.  Unsurprisingly there was no return phone call.  I have not completed any online surveys or competitions, but these calls do make you question yourself as we all lead such busy lives.  I am most concerned about how they got my name and home phone number.

Beware of the three people who do the survey scams at Alicante airport.  I fell into the trap of giving my details once and was bombarded by calls from Club La Costa.  On the second occasion I refused to give my details, the female tout 'hit the roof' at me and stated that she was only doing her job and that people like me make her job more difficult.  We do not need this anger when waiting to board in the departure lounge.

My letter exposing this has been printed  in Costa Blanca News, I just hope it has made more people aware of  who these people really are.  I don't know what else can be done.

this is not a scam, its a legitimate holiday, you filled out the details in the first place.
