Just had the same thing happen to me ! thanks to you all I didn't ring the number I looked it up on Google and found this Cheers. As you can tell they are Still at it 0800 988 9904 They say I had completed an on line survey which I know I never did however I have a hotmail account and apparently they can find out your details from there.I knew it was time share as my Husband and I got caught when we were first married 20 years ago young and green we attended a presentation while on holiday in Tenerife just for free attraction tickets, we were trapped the whole day and did sign up  and thought ti was a great deal unitl we got home ! we were lucky to get our money back as we had good legal advice so beware its like brian washing !

Got a call from lady on 01268 557600 saying I had won a free holiday for 4 people in Spain, Portugal or the Canaries, or I could choose a UK option - Cornwall or Scotland.  All I had to do was call 0800 9889904 and give the ref no provided.  Sounds too good to be true so I googled the freefone no and what a surprise!!

To back up the warning above.  You will get a nice cheap holiday out of it BUT only if you do not buy.  I used to sell double glazing so am wise to the hard sell techniques used and had a nice holiday at a good price but a lot of people were signing up to the club and were not happy afterwards.  For most people it probably isn't worth the hassle.  If I wanted to buy into a holiday club (though I can't imagine me ever wanting to-its an expensive way to holiday) I would probably choose this company....

im soooo glad that this site was here my mum just got a call from them,she was just about to ring them back and i said for her to wait sooo i googled it..how are these people still getting away with this if soo many people are getting scamed??

Thanks goodness for this site got a call just like every-one else and was Sceptical but as I was given a free phone number to call thought it might be genuine as usually you are asked to call a premium rate number and that's where the scam begins. Well I though I know I will type in the free phone number into Google 08009889904 and low and behold what should I find but this lovely site warning me it was a time share scam.....So thank you very much for me not wasting my time as with a new born baby I don't have a lot of it.....

recieved a call from a company saying got a holiday for free, rung the number and was put through clc holiday and resorts after reading forums on this i hung up dont make calls to this it is a scam and they want you to buy time shares

Phone call - if it sounds too good to be true, that always means it is.  Being a sceptic, I googled and - hey - what a surprise - scam.  Not going to waste valuable time......................

Received a call from 01268 557600  congratulating me on winning a free holiday which included return flights, that I should ring 08009889904 to claim my prize.   As I have had these calls in the past, I asked them for more details... They insisted on the first number that I had won a prize. On the second number it wasn't a prize but a free holiday for 4.  I have to pay 27.50 per person booking fee.  How is that a prize or a holiday?  After having a long argument over them wasting my time I reaslised i don't normaly get caught out so i can only presume they are getting more devious at tricking people into believing they have won a holiday.  The unfortunate thing is that one day some might genuinely call and they won't be believed.

This number is associated with Club La Costa (UK) PLC  1st Floor, 50 Colindeep Lane, London, NW9 6HB.  They are a holiday club (time share?).  To obtain the prize you need to attend a 2 hour presentation and have an annual income of over £35,000.  The income is a primary condition associated with the prize.  E-mail address for this company is info@clcestates.com .  The office where the presentation is given is currently Charlotte House, 9-14 Windmill Street, London, W1T 2JG (Tel. 0207 637 5004).

I also got two phone calls saying the same that I won holiday trip to Europe from Club la Costa. Then the 1st caller texted me for Reference  No on +447584293916. The next day another called for the same reason but gave me different Reference No on ++447961208045 and asked me to call the No:08009889904 before 6:30pm same day. I did and the operator as some questions such as: are you married, over 20s and under 65s, Am I house owner and I said no...then I told her that actually i googled and saw a lot comments said about the company, sort of Scam...then somehow the line off, I wondered if she hung up by herself or the line automactically hung of because such an answer and question from me...My husband normally say: too good to be true so shouldnt believe it!

I also received a call to inform me that I had won a luxury holiday and four flights to one of three destinations in Europe so obviously I contacted the telephone number. I asks several times whether there were any strings attached. I was told that absolutely not, it is a promotional offer designed to promote the company through word of mouth. I was told to go to the West End where we would meet the reps and show our ID and that I would receive £25.00 vouchers for my travel cost. I then checked the company on this website and have found all of the above posts. I called them back and quized them further. They still insisted that this was not a time share and that we would not have to attend any senimars and that the holiday would be ours to enjoy. It really upsets me that companies can get away with this (if it is a scam, which I am sure it is). Giving people false hopes and leaving them feeling really quite stupid for being sucked in!

I Just got a call from an african woamn she asked if I was Mr *** I saidwho are u again she said CLC and said I had completed a survey y and asked if i was 20-60 I said you have the survey why are u asking me the details the details must be on there. she said can you confirm .. I said I dont confirm anything on the phone. At which point she hung up ... I google the number and LOL

I got a call today 23/8/10 with the same spiel, that I had won a self catering holiday for four plus flights...googled it and here I am.

How can peope sit there in an office scamming people, have they no shame! Surely they cant earn enough to pay their bills?

Got a call on my mobile just now from unknown number.  He said he was calling from CLC and it was in relation to a form I completed at Alicante Airport last week.  This part was true, chap had accosted me at Alicante whilst I had my mind on getting on a plane with my 2 kids in tow - he took just my name and mobile and then gave me a slip - I had thought he was a Ryanair employee (Ryanair are obviously getting paid to allow this hustle).  When I told the guy on the phone that I was at work, he just hung up!

I received a call this evening advising me that my husband had completed a survey in Majorca and had won a 5 star luxury holiday for 4, including flights and accomodation.  The only cost to us would be a £29 admin fee plus any airport/flight taxes. They fly with all airlines other than Easy Jet or Ryan Air.

The first lady who spoke said that My husband had been lucky and selected to win the prize and that she was passing me over to another lady to sort out posting out our prize. After checking we earned a good salary and were in fact married I was asked when I would like to come to London to collect our prize.  I said that this was not possible so she would have to post it, she declined and offered to ring when their exibition was closer to our home address.  I did ask how does this work for single parents and widows, she coldly said that under the terms and conditions these people would not be eligible, lol. I asked how she felt about being so discriminatory.   I feel very sad that these companies still think the general public are stupid. I said I would call her back, she gave me an 0800 988 9904 number with a reference to quote when I call. Never in a million years.

They walk around the airport with hghly visible, official looking ID badges. We were queuing for departure with our boarding passes and passports in hand. These official looking people walk amongst us (which no other people can do-how are they allowed in departure lounges -this is usually top, security to get there isn't it) and they swan up to us sa if they own the place. Us poor, bemused travellers are just relived they are offering us a free holiday instead of giving us a document grilling or asking us to pay an extra weight fayre etc

They are targeting the vunerable, dis-orientated and freshly holidayed people. Very, very cynical.

They are still at it.  Recieved a phonecall today from Opal Marketing and asked for me by my maiden name said i am now married.  Said that they had spoken to my husband and he said that he would want to go to the canaries when he was surveyed (i remember the survey a few days ago)
Anyway said we had won a proze of 7 nights for 2 people in a villa or apartment when we wanted has to go to a holiday presentation in warwickshire a good 1 1/2 hours away but we would be compensated with high street vouchers.  said there will operators there that we know and will call back on monday to confirm that my husband could come as i lied and said he wasnt in.  I will update on monday but i am glad that i found this blog about it.  Its the 1st October 2010 so they hav been upto this for over 2 years.  They need stopping.  Someone do something maybe watchdog can help.?

I have received this call today. I am so glad that I found THIS PAGE. It all seemed too beautiful. They asked me to attend the meeting in Tottenham Court Rd , together with my husband (who laughed at me naturally). I was surprised to see that this has been  going on for over 2 years.
