Just got a missed call from this number like so mainy other's my response to a number i don't know is to ignore the call and wait for the VM message and call back, they did not leave a message so checked here for the number glad i did :-) for the record i am also on O2 (pay monthly) never had a vodafone PAYT or contract. My current phone was got from O2 direct not used the CARPHONE WHOREHOUSE either

It's just vodafone. I'm assuming a lot of you have contracts coming to an end and they know :) Don't know how.

just got call from same number - I don't have phone with Vodafone - so know idea why they were calling me.  I refused to answer any questions and caller hung up!!

I got this call for several times within 2 weeks but I'm not even with Vodafone......

Have had 2 missed calls from this today, wondered wtf it was - oh. it's scammers. Joy.  Glad I found this page so I can keep missing their calls...btw am on Orange not Vodaphone.  In fact, have never been on Vodaphone...

Had calls all week from this strange number.  Thanks for the advice.  Can't wait to figure out how to block it on my phone.  Not with vodafone. may answer it for a laugh.  Thanks for the warnings

I've had a few missed calls from this number of the last week so thought i'd google the number and found all these.

Had a voicemail to say they were from vodafone... i hung up as soon as i heard that! i'm not even on vodafone!!

What makes me angry is that these people are still making these calls!!
The previous posts go back to 2007!!

Had a missed call from this number today...from reading everyones posts its obviously a scam.

What I suggest is whoever they call, keep them on the phone for as long as possible for example say 'hold on i just need to answer the door' or 'I need to turn the oven off' then leave the phone next to you as long as possible. The longer they are on the phone to you is the less time they are ringing someone else.

If we all do this then maybe they will stop ringing people or wont be able to ring as many!!!

This Number has been ringing me for the last 2 month, i figured its a scam saying they are from vodafone. but im not evan with vodafone.

Keep getting missed calls from this number...funny seeing as i'm actually an O2 customer!

I've had calls from this number for the last 3/4 months or so, just going to see if I can program my newly installed call manager to block it!

ITS A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY!!!!!!!!!! Been swerving the call for a while, got bored today answered, and BANG got nabbed :( anyway, cant remember at the mo but i think the agency is called ideal or something like that (honestly cant remember) dunno if this helps!

Debt collection agency.. asking me to confirm my name etc.. Do not fall for them

I was in work when this number rang twice but left no message - looking on here i see that it appears to be Vodafone - i am with Orange and have been for about 8 years. I called the number back and a recorded message comes on confirming its voadfone and says they will call back - they also provide a number of 08080 000155 as a customer care number but i havent tried calling

I've just had this number call me (1-2-10 @ 15.04. had no idea who it was but thought it looked like an odd number so typed it into Yahoo and saw everybody elses posts - glad i didn't answer!

They called and wanted to know if Helen Reid was there - not me. They apologised, but I had to hang up. Quite wierd.

OK, Look this is VODAFONE UK - They know about the phone contracts you have becasue a phone contract is a form of credit agreement, and as such is on your credit history with people like Experion etc.  This can be bought by companies, and they can then derive their call list from these records to try and get you to change from one mobile phone provider to them.  How else do you think they know somuch about your number, howmuch you pay, when you pay, when it runs out etc. etc.

I received 2 calls form them , the second one the guy sounded drunk!! Told them not to call again!!
