these have been ringing me a few times now and i can hear them mumbeling in the back ground, then i either hang up or they do. really startin to get annoyed. im not calling that number in case im charged!!

I answered a call from this number and the guy said he wanted to review my Vodafone tariff, but he didn't even know what tariff I was on!!  So he started asking me identification/security questions.... I just laughed at him and said look, you called me, do you really think I'm stupid enough to give you my pin number and personal details?  He got huffy, I hung up.

Got my first missed calls from 08080011101 today. Promptly searched google to ID the number, found this forum, and I'm now annoyed and disappointed in Vodaphone.   I've never experienced so much third party bother, wrong numbers and random texts with any other network. Hope this doesn't continue as I've about 12 months left in my contract.

REJECTED CALL AS NOT KNOWN NUMBER

I keep getting calls from this number and am having to ignore calls all the time - So far today they have called twice and am sure they will call again - has anyone managed to get them to stop

Same here, Im getting a few calls a day from this number but silence at the end of the line if I pick up.

Get calls from vodafone 0n average 4 times a day,nobody answers, it's got on my nerves so much i'm off to virgin, good bye vodafone. POKE IT!

I phoned up Vodaphone and they said its not them.
Its NOT the Real Vodafone Calling You. Its a Scam to find out your Bank and Credit Card Details.  
Just because they say its Vodafone does not mean it is

I'm with Virgin - never been with Vodaphone - and I've had about 5 calls from this number over the last couple of weeks. Cheers.

I have had a call of this number 10 mins ago - I am with o2 as a PAYG customer , dont know how they could have my no all of a sudden!

calls daily at least 3 times tryed to block and email to see who it is neither work have contacted vodaphone?

Get several calls from 08080011101. Answered once and a voice said
'the number you have just dialed'  I closed the call immediately and have not answered again despite the fact it calls at least once every day.

The call you have received is not from Vodafone Direct, however the call is from a 3rd party company calling on our behalf. The reason why they asked you for your details was, for in order for anybody to access your account due to data protection.

This is a copy/paste of a memo supposed to be from Vodaphone on their forum.
how true it is I do not know. Hope it helps some one.

This prevents any individual changing your account other than those authorised on your account.

I've been getting calls twice a day for the last 3 weeks. Hugely annoying!

phoned vodaphone and emailed them after calls from this number see there email below have now stopped calls my preferences already showed no sales calls but this one got through also reported to ofcom and have put on telephone preferences

who the hell is this, did not answer and will not however many times they call

this number has called over 50 times on my mobile within the last month. Upto 5 times in one day too......... I have never answered it, tried to block it and it still calls. BYEBYE VODAPHONE. I will tell all my friends about your scamming calls and hopefully they will look elsewhere for a mobile phone provider.

accidentally left my phone at home whilst i was at work, fortunatley they havent rung again.. so i currently dont have a problem with this. Strange to think many other people have also had this problem

If it is a genuine Vodafone calling no. then they should be reported for harrassing people at all times of the day. My wife recieves 5 calls every other day from this no. and it's b***dy annoying her.No pick up, no answer and then a message saying u will be charged lots for calling them back, priceless. Report them to the telesales ombudsman or something, that might stop them. Scam merchants. When will these mobile phone companies get the message that if I want another phone at a gr8 deal, I am quite capable of getting it myself.
