I've been receiving calls from this number too, sometimes several a day.  I phoned Silent Callguard on 08443722325 this morning and registered my phone number with them, but still got a call from the 08080011101 number this afternoon.  I figure it may take a day or two for Silent Callguard to kick-in, if at all! Well, anything is worth a try.  Arrgghhh!

They started ringing me on this number - I answered it as it was going off twice a day. Its silent at first but after a few moments someone started to offer me bonuses as a loyal customer of Vodafone. When he asked for security details, I made them up, but he said yeah thats all fine! He then tried to offer me insurance, which I already had on the handset. So I doubt its a genuine call.

Best thing to do is, if they do offer you something you want, just say you'll ring back on a number you can confirm. Then you'll know if the offer is legitimate or just a scam.

    Guys read other folks comments....
Vodafone confirm this IS one of their numbers calling. It's not a scam but it is very annoying.
When you phone 191 to complain it takes about 48 hours or so to get the calls stopped.
There's no need to give personal details to Vodafone as you can get a PIN number facility set up. Do that if you're bothered.
Anyway, why are folk bothered about giving a genuine Vodafone person (on 191) their name, etc? These questions are for your security.

Emailed Vodafone's Customer Care and received a satisfactory reply and apology from them re the silent calls.
Marketing preference changes apparently take 72 hours to 'kick in'.

If these calls annoy you, and there seems to be a lot of you out there who are annoyed with them, do as I, and others' have - call up 191 and get them stopped.

I only just had this call for the first time and picked it up and got though, but it didn't seem like a recording, first it was a female voice, asked to make sure it was me, even mispronoucing my lastname then correcting herself, asked how my day was, then after I said not too good she asked if she could call back later then hung up.

Anyway they are just wasting their time and money on me due to they can't offer me anything, not contract, pay as I go, I own this phone and if it breaks I go out and buy a new one.

I missed a call from 08080011101 the other day, then answered the next time they rang. The guy said he was calling from Vodafone and wanted to talk about my account. Then he asked for my 4-digit pin code, which I gave him, and then he hung up. I decided to ring Vodafone through 191, as it all seemed a bit fishy.
Vodafone said there was no record of anyone contacting me from Vodafone, so it was most likely a scam call. Needless to say I changed my pin straight away.
In future I'll just be ignoring any calls from 0808 numbers....

Had a few calls last few days (Quiet treatment), and stumbled across this post on the vodafone website :

    Hi Mr T

The call you have received is not from Vodafone Direct, however the call is from a 3rd party company calling on our behalf. The reason why they asked you for your details was, for in order for anybody to access your account due to data protection.

We use 3rd party companies to conduct our phone surveys and other promotions.

This prevents any individual changing your account other than those authorised on your account.

    Hope this helps.

I'm getting daily calls from this number now for about a week now, usually around 10am. Not answered yet but if it's legitimate why don't they leave a message?

I seem to get these calls a week or two after I have spoken to their Customer Services dept, so could be that they diary your number to call you. It IS vodafone, but I dont answer anymore!

We get lots of hassle from the Masons who are expert at harassing people and this one's been ringing our house number for weeks. Every time we pick it up, the guy says nothing until we speak first. He would then say vodaphone and we just hang up, but he keeps calling.

Do a search online for "How to stop the NWO/Masons crimes immediately" to read how much Masonic hassle we get and some of their tactics.

This is a reply from Vodafone on their forum:-
