I've been getting the same calls from this number so googled on the offchance and found this site.  Have now phoned Vodafone and they confirmed it is them and they will get the calls stopped to my number.

I keep gettin this call, they just called my mum and at the same time I got the call too. They called me three times in a row the other day. I had anumber call my other number before I joined Vodafone and nobody said anything. Apparently they ring lots of numbers at once and the moment somebody answers it cuts off the rest.

Why not answer the call, then if it's silent just pop your phone on the table and go and make yourself a cup of tea!  Keeps one of thier lines engaged anyway!!

I keep getting calls from 08080011101 and 08000641081 - Ive saved the numbers under an appropriate name so I know not to answer

I keep getting these calls too.  Doesn't surprise me that it is a Vodafone number - I've had nothing but problems with them, the customer service is atrocious.  Only with them now cos I managed to wrangle a cheap deal out of them.  From now on I will ignore any 0808 calls

Never been a voda customer but they called me, with my details.

me thinks they have broken the data protection act.

Missed about 3 calls from this number. Picked up the fouth time, no one answered and finally someone asked and couldn't say my name properly. They hung up when I said pardon!

This number keeps calling me. I'm quite annoyed and have read about it being Vodafone which is fair enough as the can use their dirty tactics on there customers if they want. But I'm on O2!!! I will NOT change to Vodafone or anyone else, how can I get them to stop?!

i work for Voda and it is a Vodafone retention number - they work on a dialler system which is why sometimes no-one speaks - the dialler will predict that there will be someone available to talk so it will call you - however if we're stuck on calls then it's not possible to connect.
You can request to get your number removed from the dialler and also to change all of your privacy settings on your account to 'No'.

I had vodaphone ring me then ask me my telephone number and home adress, i told him then he said his pc had frozen and he would ring back but never did anyone else had this???

VODAFONE SAY THIS: "The call you have received is not from Vodafone Direct, however the call is from a 3rd party company calling on our behalf. The reason why they asked you for your details was, for in order for anybody to access your account due to data protection.

We use 3rd party companies to conduct our phone surveys and other promotions.

This prevents any individual changing your account other than those authorised on your account."

This is definitely Vodafone.  Its just a marketing call.  If you call it it says "you dont have to call us back, the call was just a Vodafone service call."

persistent unknown calls - not answered

hi i had 3 of these calls tellin me about some promotion that doesn't exist(asked manager at local store and called 191) asked about it in vodaphone they have no idea who it is and say any of the official calls from them will be mobile numbers or will come up as vodafone.

Got my first one today and got the silent treatment and googled to find this site.  I'll keep you posted.

i just either left it or sent busy tone
once i answered it noone answered me, it was really really annoying
lately though the number hasn't phoned me again,
watch know it will phone me 2moz :P
