My wife took a call from 08081450360 this morning. She started a 'speil' as my wife described it in a Caribbean accent and my wife put the phone down. We have not asked for a cold call such as this, are registered with the preference service and would like to know why OFCOM are unable to do anything about the phone number concerned given the amount of problems being caused to many people.

Had a call from this number at 7 this morning, saying they were from lloyds. Asked me for my date of birth and post codes straight away and where I was still half asleep I nearly fell for it. But then wondered why lloyds would be calling me at 7 in the morning. When I asked her what department she was in so if she was legitimate.I could call her back off of a number I can find on the lloyds website. she said "that information will be released when you pass the security what's your post code and date of birth" definite scam leave well alone.

This is the Lazy-est inept form of phone harassment from a banking group (Lloyds) who are to big to deal with individuals properly. They will almost certainly get fined further down the line for this form of institutional caller abuse but sadly their legal teams will have judged not enough for them to stop it yet.

Been getting two calls a day from 0808 145 3060 / 3066 since the start of the week. I had heard from here that it could be a scam, or Lloyds, who I have never banked with. So I contacted Lloyds myself, and they said it WAS genuine, but that they were likely looking for the PREVIOUS person who had my phone number (I get a lot of calls for the previous owner, despite me having had this number for two years).

I also received a text from "LloydsBank" yesterday, asking me to make payment. No number for the text message is available. Just comes up as LloydsBank. Spelt exactly like that.

The guy on the phone (when I made contact) said not to worry unless they know you by name. He asked if the text said "Dear Miss x" and I confirmed it didn't, so he said not to worry.

If you call Lloyds, they can remove your number from their database if you genuinely feel you don't owe any money.

Got a call from this number, identifying themselves as Lloyds and asking for personal details.  I refused to give details, and so they told me to go into my branch to deal with the problem with my bank account.  I called Lloyds direct and they said that the only department that would make a call like that is the fraud department, and they would also put a flag on my account.  As there are no flags in place, the call must have been a scam.

Have now had 4 calls from this number wanting to talk to me about a banking matter with Halifax.
yesterday they rang on the landline and again on the mobile.
Same again today. When I told them I don't bank with Halifax they suggested I ring back or went into my local branch!
I hung up on landline but they rang  back immediately on the mobile!
I have cold calling blocked with BT but they still get through.

8 calls from this number in the past couple of days.  Always rings off before I can get to the phone.  Never leaves a message on TAM. Is this deliberate harrassment by making you keep running to the phone? We are both aged and arthritic and Lloyds or whoever are a pain in more than just the bum.

Normally when they prompt for my personal info, I respond with "sorry I can't give my details over the phone".....but today I played with them: gave them a totally random DOB and postcode. After a long pause (she was probably drooling as she jotted my false details down), she told me to call her back on a premium rate number when I have a moment... I insisted that I have time now and would be delighted to resolve the issue with my account. She said to make a payment to my financial plan, I asked which plan, she told me to call her back, i said "no", she told me to visit my nearest branch. I asked her where is my nearest branch, she told me to hang on a moment....(long pause)......a recorded message begins playing telling me to call Bank of Scotland on 08081450360, then the line goes dead. Next time I'm going to make a payment this mysterious account with a made-up credit card, bank of Unicorn or something.

Had this number ring me so many times, until the last time they rang my mobile, I didn't answer. Then straight away they rang my house phone. I picked it up claiming to be from lloyds bank(who I'm not with anymore) i have moved address and new home number so lloyds would never of had it anyway, so have they got it?? If it was lloyds bank and I had told them I'm not with them, surely they would of said but it's about your previous one or something, not just ok I'll remove the number bye?

Received a call from a woman with strong foreign accent claiming to be LLoyds, asking for my presonal details. I refused and told them to verify who they were. I then rang my branch who confirmed there were no notes on the system to call me, and do not know why, but that the number given seems genuine.  I said send me a letter if you want to tell me something .

They're calling me every couple of days. They claim to be Halifax and ask me for my personal details before commencing. I have asked them to stop calling. I've just Googled the number and found this litany of complaints. Who do we complain to? How do we get them stopped?
