I rang this number as they have called me 3-4 times over the last few days on my landline and mobile phone. When put through the message is ' you have been called today from the Lloyds Banking Group' which may be from the Halifax, Royal Bank Of Scotland or Other?. I checked my  call log and have previously answered a call from this number a month or so ago and remember speaking to an asian woman about my bank account. It is a genuine phone number from the banking group of Lloyds and as I remember they will ask a few security questions but will also confirm they are only ringing you in relation to your account/s in a positive manner. They are normally contacticting you to advise that a charge that has been put on your account has been changed or withdrawn so you will NOT have to pay this amount. They have to tell you this so you are aware. Just answer and speak to them they are nice people.

They say they are from lloyds bank and i said id phone lloyds back they said carry on. When i picked the phone up no dialing tone . believe they were still on the phone for at least 5 minutes before i had dialing tone back. SCAM!!!!!! PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!!

WHO does this number belong to? it comes up on my mobile, land line, at all times of the day and night!!! WHAT IS OFCOM DOING ABOUT IT? if it is powerless to do anything about it, the bring about legislation to prevent it TOTALLY, but I suspect Government[s] [of every persuasion] may make money, or tie the hands of bodies [such as ofcom in this instance] so they are in effect a body to complain to, so we feel protected [in some small way] thus paying we the tax payer lip service. P.S. is ofcom a private body if so I feel, as a tax payer I am being robbed for giving money to a "toothless" body, laughing all the way to the bank.

I had 2 answer phone messages from these asking to ring another number, I thought it was maybe a scam but they used my old married name and not my new one and the only ones I haven't changed it with is Halifax. Gave them a call with the number on Halifax's website to ask if they had been calling and they had as my payment plan was up for review. So yes it was Halifax but if they had tried to ask me details had I answered I wouldn't of given them any.

It's birmingham midshires mortgage group part of Halifax and royal bank of Scotland. If you have had any type of account with either company and have arrears, that's why your getting the call.

I get at least two calls everyday from these clowns asking for my personal details. They have just called my mobile which i didnt answer as i have saved the number so i know not to answer. They called my house phone straight after and i rang 1471 to see who it was. Why would bank of scotland be phoning on a bank holiday of all days haha ! I have already told them to bugger off, so has my sister but they keep calling ! I hope these buggers get caught ! I also hope noone falls for it.

These people are scammers. Do not give them your personal details and terminate any calls from them immediately.

Rang Landline & Mobile leaving no Message - so I do not know who caller is.

For those trying to indicate this is actually the halifax, lloyds etc then your as bad as the caller. Ive contacted the halifax and the only thing that is similar is the number they ring from, just one digit the wrong way round. Don not answer people, contact your branch and report it.

I have been receiving calls from this number on both my mobile and home number. No message is left and having checked it on your website, I understand that it is a scam number.
I have blocked in in my mobile but how do I block it on my home line ?

The only realistic option for home landlines is a call blocker. I have a Call Saint blocker - brilliant piece of kit for £25 or thereabouts on ebay/Amazon. Worth its weight in gold. You need to have caller display enabled by your provider. Blocks up to 1200 numbers and you can block whole or part start numbers. Most scam numbers start 00, 0203, 0845 etc. Option to block all withheld/international/out of area numbers. I was plagued with scum calls - now I have some fun with my blocker. I am not a Call Saint employee. Please get yourself some peace X.

The number calling is Halifax, who are also apart of Lloyds banking. The group of companies includes Birmingham Midshares, Halifax (also known as HBOS - Halifax bank of scotland) Lloyds banking, Clerical Medical and even Leeds Permanent Building society.

If you receive a call from the above mentioned phone number then they might be calling for the above mentioned companies. Hope that helps.

Just been wakened by a call from this number at 8.05 am on Saturday morning my day off. Did not answer no message left.This number calls me daily and never leaves a message from the post on this site appears to be a debt collection agency for a bank I have nothing  to do with so why are they being such a nusiance.

Got a call last night around  1800hrs  thus person  claims  they are calling  from  my Lloyds  Bank but can't tell me anything  if I don't give them  my details  so I refused  to talk to them very odd Sunday night  I have been  with Lloyds  for year never received  a  call of this nature
