I got a call from this number and woman's voice - saying press 5 for more information, or press 9 to "be removed from out database". I pressed 5,but got nothing.

So pissed of with this number......everyday it calls my house. Something should be done about this cold calling. I`ve been onto virgin to no avail and I don`t see why I should have to pay to get removed from their list.......I DIDNT GIVE THEM MY NUMBER!

I got a call from this number at 13:07 BST, in Manchester on my landline, thankfully I didn't get to the phone in time and managed to track the number back through 1471 and this site, pretty glad I didn't pick it up now, damned telesales.

I can confirm is deffo not from virgin media they're getting your number.  I live in a non cable area.  I only had my phone line switched on on tuesday this week (moving into a new house) and received one call before I'd got in from work that day.  Been calling daily since.  Never been in to answer it.  Like another poster, I have noticed that the last couple of digits do seem to change.

Do I want a will - I might do after all the calls from this number - bunch of idiots! Can't they leave us alone!

had a phone call today saturday 5 th june 11.35.am. from debt collection no win or fees. i want it to stop  because i have learning disabilites.

Called my landline in York at 12.50pm today. This is about the 10th time they have called in the last 6 days!!!!!!  They never leave a message. Got no intention of calling them back!!

This number has called several times recently. It's always a prerecorded message claiming to offer MBNA/Barclay Credit Card with low costs. Then asking to press 5 for more info and 9 to be removed from database. I suspect 9 will not remove from database so I simply hang up. I am on an IVA and MBNA were the main creditor so I don't understand why I am being offered a credit card. But I do think it something to do with Virgin. The credit card I had was a Virgin one but MBNA was the bank behind it. Probably trying to trick me to see if I will apply for a credit card knowing that I can't because of the IVA. Throughout the IVA process MBNA were absolute scum bags using very underhand methods to contact me and making threats.

these people called my mum last night claiming to be from capital one about interest charges and she comfirmed details, when we checked her card last night a £590 order to a mail order company had been placed on her card luckily we were quick enough to get it stopped and sorted they already had her card number all she confirmed was her date of birth, do not take calls from this number.

This number rang me when I was out. I checked 1471 when I got in. No message was left. It's not the first time they have called. Anyone found out who this is?

got a call from this number right now and had it before! very anoying automated system, womans voice explaing that the government has made capital one, barcley card and a few other companies"change their legistlation" and that I could be owed money - then to press 5 to find out more - EVEN on hanging up, I picked back up to phone 1471 and she was there asking me for my account details to see if I was owed anything - as I don't have any accounts from the companies she listed I hung up again and left it for a few minutes before called 1471

this number has been calling me everyday between 13.00 and 15.30.

Pesky fraudsters,do not give them any details otherwise they take money from you,the Government should do something about these people,and Virgin Media do sell your phone number to others,do not trust them.
