This number called my landline, followed seconds later by 08435400007 calling my mobile phone.  I have just moved house, so very few people and companies have my new details.  I would love to know which one has sold my details...the only ones I can think of who have my new details are BT, Endsleigh, British Gas, Scottish Power and TV Licensing.  I'm not impressed.

I'm sick and tired of being called by these people.  I've paid a firm to stop nuisance calls but I'm still getting them and its usually when I am having a rest and have just dozed off.  Its not fair and it shocks me into waking up when I really do need a rest.

Also getting these calls.. Also on Virgin Media. - Anyone else on Virgin?? Is there a case for it being Virgin who are selling details?? I am already subscribed to the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) which means I should not be getting ANY of these sorts of calls. And yet they still happen. SOOooooooo annoying!!

Why are people wasting there time & hard earned money on these so called TPS (Telephone Preference Service) they obviously don't work! So everybody why are you paying for a service your not getting?? You wouldn't pay £10 for a taxi and get out half way there would you? The truth is Nobody can be trusted these days and secondly why is this happening?
Answer; because we live in the UK & nothing will ever be done about it!!!

The tps service is free to use. I didn't pay to register.
I'm tps registered and ex-directory but it hasn't stopped constant calls to my landline and mobile.  I'm changing my mobile number on Friday to see if it helps.
This number phoned yesterday evening and has been added to my incredibly long list of annoying numbers.

Just received a call from this number 1435 hrs 30/9/10

I have changed my landline number 6 times in two years because of numbers like this ringing. Apart from my phone provider there is no-one that has got my number, so how do they get hold of it? Its getting that bad that im thinking of having the landline taken out!

The numbers' service provider is Virgin Media Ltd.

They probably have a clause in their T&C's that your number will be used by Virgin Gp unless you opt out. I would direct your complaint directly to them!

What a pain  in the seat department these calls are,

I leave my ringer permanently on mute these days, and my brief outgoing message is bilingual Welsh / English, and that seems to deter most nuisance-callers apart from those mindless automated messages saying you needn't bother paying whatever bills you've incurred - let somebody else pay instead.  Only family and friends have my mobile number, though I realise that I'm fortunate in being able to screen incoming calls in this manner.  You'd think there'd be an Act passed to prevent these tele-cowboys from pestering people .. but I suppose this this is part of the might of capitalism and the 'free market', prioritising profit over people.

just called me ... about making a will...

Rec'd a call on my fax machine (no handset attached, so didn't answer it!). Did 1471 and was given number 08432764013. My fax is used for outgoing faxes only and the number is not known to anyone other than BT. They must be dialling random numbers.

i too have been called many times by this number,  i am with virgin and am constantly getting phone calls from lots of different numbers every day!
ive changed my landline number 3 times since january and yet am still getting these blooming calls!
there should be a law that could try and stop these nusance calls!
its got to the point where i dont either answer my phone!

yes - same thing - anything up to three or four times a day.

I'm with BT ex-directory and on TPS list and still get these calls so i dont think we'll ever get away from them. Been called twice today by this nimber, didn't recognise the number so didnt answer it, i have caller id and answer phone so i dont answer the phone if i dont recognise a number, i feel if its imporant they will leave a message. Think i'm going to record a new answer phone message 'Hi, i probably can get to the phone right now but unless i recognise the number i aint answering, i dont want to buy anything or switch companies so if its important leave a message, if not f*** off '

Same company as all 08432764xxx numbers (and possibly 0844686xxxx as well). They're always nice enough to leave their number and a pre-recorded message (one of about half a dozen) on my answerphone. If they bother to call when I'm in, I automatically let the machine pick it up. If only BT could block call ranges...

For the past few days I have been having this number come up on my caller display as a missed call. My call logger which prints all calls both in coming and out going, has logged this number 15 times with in the past 48 hours.

I have this number call me mutiple times a day - it's a recorded message. VERY annoying. How do I get them to stop???

get calls from this number ALL the time. This time the automated message has been left on voicemail saying press 5 to for an icredible deal on making a will so my children will get something when i die! But I dont want to press anything as you here all sorts of stories of what these people can do!
