Thank goodness you said that dimar - I have now printed it! They are unbelievable aren't they? Just waiting for them to come calling now....at least my husband and sons are!

They will never come round it is all threats and hot air. if they were  a legit company they would go about things in a legitimate way. This sort of thing just shows them up for what they are and  unfortunately they don't have the intelligence or mind-set to understand this. I would notify the police!!!

You could also email the MSE advisors and report it to them.

Thanks for your concern everyone. I have notified the MSE investigators, and I've also notified the moderator on this site. I haven't asked for the post to be removed as I want to be able to show it to the police when I see them. I doubt whether the 'perp' has a mate who lives near here - I doubt he has any mates at all!! On reflection, I think he's done us all a favour, because now the police are taking it seriously.

Just found this.  How low will this lot sink?  At least now it looks like they have taken one step too far.
They really are a set of children of unmarried parents!  The only small crum of comfort is that you really have got them running scared.  They have managed to silence previous complaints, but it hasn't worked this time.  Take care.

I would remove it, but have been  advised that the police may want to take the computer with it on! (If I disappear from this site for a few days you know why!!)

Hi Nan, long time, no hear! Great isn't it. I wonder, if I get in touch with TAPA will they go after the nasty person who made my address public?? On second thoughts, I'll let the police do it instead.

Hi elrooni, I have received same  emails & post threatening CCJ if I didn't pay up? I was never aware I entered into contract! I posted letter asking or further clarification but as yet I've heard nothing from TAPA. That was 11th november. I've also obtained my credit score .. Nothing at all to hint I've got a looming CCJ. Hope it stays quiet for you!

Vicki: They never answer any letters at all. As i understand it, nothing can go onto your credit record until the court has agreed to a CCJ. At least you have not had anything else since the emails.

I would like to know which banks have agreed to refund the payment to those of you who did pay and whether they were immediately aware of the problem when approached.

I haven't had a call from but this number and about 20 other strange numbers are appearing on my BT phone bill saying I have called them.

I am pleased to say I have not heard from TAPA since the 7/11/11 nor do I expect to. I did not send my cancellation by registered mail (why would I waste my hard earned cash on a scam)!? Which I think they are (for the record). Advice to anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with them is... if you have caller display don't answer with-held or unavailable, mobile numbers you don't recognise. If you don't, tell them to go forth and multiply and hang the phone up! I have not received e-mails nor post from this so-called company. My advice IGNORE them. Also LizzieM you don't know much about I.T. The police would not need you to keep a thread going?Lizzie you are full of bull! Dawn: I am not sure if you actually know why LizzieM went to the police as the entry in question here  has now been removed. She had very good reason to seek advice from them and was not being a scaremonger!

Sounds really odd. Have you told BT about it?
