I recently received a marketing letter from TAPA offering me their services and it is signed by a GEORGE WILLIAMS. His job title says CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER. I don't know if this helps at all?

Are you being chased for money by them? Even if not, be careful and expect a phone call, be on your guard and keep an eye on this site and Money Saving Expert - TAPA thread, and check the Daily Mirror, (Penman and Sommerlad blog) from time to time - they are aware of these people from the past but possibly not in this guise.

There you go folks - if they're only paying £39-95 a year, they must be getting a BIG discount for something as my invoice was for twice as much as that. Elizabeth, how come you only used them in February? Did you perhaps have a special cancellation arrangement not available to the rest of us?

This is ridiculous, can I just say that those of you who feel TAPA are being fair and responsible and have provided a service then let those who don't have their say, without being threatened, as it does nothing for your case.
An investigation will find for one side or the other and we will all have to live with that.

The only time we have reacted badly to people is when abusive or threatening posts have been made. You say you had nuisance calls and that TAPA stopped them for you, well so have the people on here with the opposite view to you, it's just that it's TAPA who have made them.
Surely you can understand how they feel if you've been on the receiving end of such calls, they want them stopped, as you did,

All of this will not help TAPA's case it is just adding to their bad reputation - is that what you want?

That might be my fault.  i pointed out to the Moderator that the point of this website is constructive discussion and that abuse will not be tolerated.(Moderator's words on another thread). I asked whether they thought the relevant posts constituted the latter. Apparently they did!! Now, perhaps we will be able to return to the matter in hand.

Well I have to say Nan - well done to you and Lizzie for getting something done about the appalling abuse. As you say, perhaps we can all get back to the matter in hand.

Thanks Nan! However you have just shot my conspiracy theory down in flames!! ( My mother always said I had an overactive imagination). There's still that one post from Hutchie left - the one I think I found the most offensive and threatening to me personally. Lets leave it there in case its ever needed in the future.

Hey! where did all the posts go, sorry lizzieM, the abusive posts were very bad, but, it was interesting to see how TAPA would respond. Any legitimate company would have given a statement regarding the matter, but instead they decided to lash out and abuse people. Why would he want your address? What was Mr Simister (the owner of TAPA) planning to do? Scary thought as to what this man's personality is like!! Very Devious and a bully, that's my guess or "my opinion"!

I have done nothing wrong by going to this link so they are welcome to my IP address....

Besides as I said before. Only the police and other authorities are able to get information about me from my IP address. It is not stored in some public website. So Anthony Michael Simister would have to make a police case against me and I am sure they will have better things to do with there time than to help a convicted fraudster.

As I know (As I work in IT networking and security) this is not public data and cannot be obtained by Anthony Michael Simister. :0p

I was told by a Techie that you can change your IP address by turning your router off for about half an hour - is that right?
