First call from this number claiming to be First Assist on behalf of the Halifax. I got this site by using Google and typing in the company name. Although it is a different number it appears to be the same company who said they would 'try again later' no doubt not the last time i hear from them but we'll see.

Just got the same call asking if I wanted accident insurance.  I told them that I wasn't interested, and that 8.45pm was a ridiculous time to call someone.  He suggested that he would call at a more convenient time and I told the caller not to bother.

I have had 3 calls from this number today each time I picked it up there was nobody on the other end, I'm more than annoyed because i work nights.

I have missed a number of calls from this number recently but answered it tonight.
Some guy sounding like he was from a third-world call centre asked for me, in kind of broken English, by my correct name I may add, and said he was calling on behalf of Halifax.
I have never had an account or anything like that with them, and said don't phone me back before hanging up -  although I doubt this will be the last time they call - it certainly sounds like some sort of scam or at the very least nuisance calling even although I am on the telephone preferrential service thingy!

We got a call from them just under an hour ago... asking for me personally.. my partner called me, by the time i got to the phone they had hanged up.. i said who was it? Halifax. Strange, they have never contacted me before especially on this number as i have only given them my mobile number to contact me on and never to use my home number. And my landline is x directory! Sounds like a scam for sure!!! Thanks for the other postings ;-)

Just got a call from this number. Nobody on the line.

i keep getting calls from this number..when i answer they hang up. they have called me 3 times at all different times.
this needs to stop as is really frustrating.

Since my first comment on the 4th Nov, I have had a call everyday since at least twice a day. I always see missed calls on my mobile and I have never answered it. It is getting really annoying now, but as I didn't give my mobile number I am reluctant to answer in case it is a scam.

so obviously halifax is in someway linked with 'first assist' but it seems to me that halifax has passed on some accounts users numbers and they are now abusing them i will be taking this problem up with the bank its self its unacceptable for this 'first assist' company to be harrassing people like this.

Keep getting call from this number, when i picked up once, he/she hung up. Please make the calls stop.

Just got a call from this number !
I have a call blocker saying ''if you are a sales person etc etc.. then please hang up if not then press 5...  so the company must have pressed 5 !
I hate them all... should be against the law to keep phoneing all the time...

I've had numerous calls from this number with no-one on the other end- if you call 08445811015 and leave your name and number they say that they will take you off their list! I will wait and see!

i have had a few call from this number..they keep ringing! can anyone stop them?

I have been recieving calls from this number for a couple of days now, selling insurance for halifax.  
Two ways to stop them: contact halifax and give them details, this should make halifax contact them.
Secondly, contact your mobile phone operator, although thay can't block the caller they can log it and after five times they will pass the number and information to the police.  It is still an offence to make nuisance calls.
Just make sure the 08445810316 is the last numer who called you before contacting the mobile phone operator

This number has called numerous times and hasnt stopped.  My wife answered the phoe and they asked personally for me.  I havent been in when they have phoned, but this has gone on for several days.  I phoned the 084465810316 and got the message to phone 08445811015 and speak to First Assist.  googled the company and found this.  so glad i always check out companies on the internet first to find out if they are spam bogus..

Called once a day and my wife answered but they would only speak to me (my wife is as much a Halifax customer as I am). Spoke to them yesterday (yes, personal accident insurance) and said no thanks. Just had a hang up call from them now! I think next time I'll pretend to be interested and waste as much of their time as I can.

Have been called 13 times since November 7. They called during the day when I was at work, they never left a message. Today they called 3 times but the last attempt at 8:30pm I was home and answered. I told them straight away to never call this number again and to remove the number from their call list. An irritated call-center worker with a thick accent just kept asking for confirmation of the name on their list. I refused to confirm the name but repeated to get me off the list. He just asked for the name again and I hung up. This is very annoying.

Received call from this number 08445810316 claiming to be First Assist on behalf of the Halifax wanting to speak to my wife. The caller would not explain to me the reason for this call but kept insisting on speaking to my wife.I then lost my temper with the caller and told him in no uncertain terms what to do.If he was from the halifax he would or should have known that my wife passed away three years ago.These callers are a public menace.

This call is from First Assist which sell personal accident insurance.  They also sell medical and dental insurance and want you to upgrade to this.  Originally they were Halifax personal insurance but some years ago the name changed to First Assist.
