Report a phone call from 08448466519 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- MillyMy o/h received a call from them today, they want to clear all of his unsecured debts. The thing is they are not registered as far as I can see on the public register and neither are they authorised by the MOJ.
My advice is if the call you - Do not give any personal details whatsoever and if they become a nusance then they will have to be reported to the authorities.
If you were to call them back it is an overseas ring tone and they do not answer as Crystal Debt Advisory - they just say hello..........
I can find no web site either or that they are a registered bon a fida company operating with UK laws. - mangoThis person called my house at 1.45am this morning. I got the scare of my life. The phone had rung off by the time i got to it. I thought a family member had taken ill!. I called them back this morning and then realised it was a foreign call. I told the woman on the other end to take my name off her calling list. I'm sure she was Indian. They obviously have no concept of the time difference here. If they call again they will get more than a mouthful from me. Unfortunately there does'nt seem to be anything i can do to prevent these calls.
- DawnThese people have just rang me, seem to know lots of details, which really bothers me!!! They rang before about 6 months ago! and kept ringing until I spoke to them.

- KatharineI have a similar problem with this firm. they are based in India, they keep calling me on a regular basis even though they have been told that I am not interested!

- S. HernandezReceived a few phone calls from Crystal Debt Advice / Bureau. They were wanting to inform me about government policy on reducing / removing my debts etc. When challenged on where they got my details from they said they had got this from commercially available listings. My home phone is registered on TPS and i have listed my address on the council's short-form listing (not sure exactly what its called but it's the one that is not available to the public/commercially).
However spoke to Talktalk and told them about the goin-ons and asked if they could provide me with a new landline number -for £70!! (extortion!!) But they also added that if i call the police (non-emergency number for your locality) and get a Crime Reference Number / Unique Reference Number they could change my number for free. So i have spoken to the police who also confirmed that they have alot of complaints about these sort of calls. Best thing to do is log as much details of when they call you, pass on to police, get a PCN/URN hand over to your phone provide and see if they can change your landline. (Maybe not ideal but it's worth it, if it's annoying enough!- Caller: Crystal Debt Advice / Bureau
- SAMHow do these people get your number when you are ex-directory. I am also TPS but this is getting ridiculous. Every day I come home to at least 4 phone calls from them. I've asked them to remove my number but they never do! Surely something can be done about this.

- dav19390Sam :
They get your number from all those forms you fill in that ask you to fill in your contact telephone number - Prime suspects are Holiday Satisfaction Reports filled in on charter flights, Satellite television installers, delivery firms wanting contact details for their drivers, guarantee forms, loan application forms with dodgy lenders, price comparison web sites. etc. etc.
Selling genuine numbers is big business and the more you let others know your number, the more unsolicited calls you will get.
Incidentally, Crystal is a name used by a UK-based (so called) Debt Service using an Asian call centre to avoid TPS and OFTEL regulations. They transform themselves every few months into another name and another address to keep themselves away from prosecution. Their main aim is Identity Theft - DonBeware!!!
This is an identity theft scam via a Pakistani call centre.
Beware!!!- Caller: Crystal ?
- mdingwallThis number has been calling constantly for weeks now and when I pick up there's nobody there. The earliest they have called is around 6:30am and the latest, a moment ago at 00:01 on 22/12/09.
I am with the TPS but it's obviously making no difference. Surely there's some way of getting rid of these parasites? - ClareI just got a call from this number, when I answered they hung up.
Cont know why they are calling, where they got my number from and why they would call after midnight on a Monday night. Woke up the entire house, and I was in a panic that something was wrong with my elderly Grandmother - AnnThis company called us at 05.11 today, I thought something was wrong with a family member. Input 1471 to see who called as no one answered when I picked it up. Thanks to everyone for your info I now know It's bloody India I am fuming, I am wide awake now and have a small baby in the house who had only just got to sleep, his mother had been trying to get him to sleep for hours.
Just wait till they ring again a whistle will be by the phone see how they like it - PeterJust had another "silent" call from this company, as it always cuts off as soon as you pick up the phone. They started ringing a couple of weeks ago, with an early morning call at 02.00 am, and ever since they have been ringing at least twice a day. I am not in debt, and do not want advice regarding debt especially at two in the morning.
The first time I actually speak to somebody at the other end of the line they will be left in no doubt what I think about their parentage, and also where they can stick their debt advice!!!!!- Caller: [***] Debt Advice Company
- samcrystal debt advisory is a uk government registered company and it helps actually the people who have debts,,,,,,it is not fraud,,...Don't neglect the call who has actually unsecured debts.Because it is in our favor.I have taken a plan for CDA and i m quiet happy with that
- TaniaCrystal Debt Advisory have phoned me everyday for 2 weeks. I have been in hospitial for 3 of them, and still had the missed calls shown on phone. Had phone call 2 nights ago 1.30 in the morning. I have a heart condition and have phoned them to ask them to remove my number. 0844 8466519. I asked for their address and postcode. They say Leicester and that is all. I said why has each person who has phoned got a very broad Indian accent and the line sounds awful.. It is a call centre.
- jamesThey have been calling for a long time now, used to be an Indian guy now seems to have changed to an Indian woman. Hows this for cheek, A few months ago I explained to the guy I had no debts and did not intend to get any, so would not require his sevices, I repeated this in no uncertain terms and asked him if he undersood what I was saying and that I did not want to hear from him again. I was not abusive and did not shout into the phone. A few minutes later the phone rang (number withheld) and an indian guy called me a sad son of a [***] and put the phone down---I nearly exploded

- wilRe: Sam's post, third up from this one.
Am I the only one thinking that broken english and use of the term "uk government registered company", which no native speaker would use, in conjunction with his ringing endorsement of a company that's being slated by dozens of others, is more than a little suspicious??
At least that confirms they're con artists. If they were legit they wouldn't be making up posts under assumed names on web sites trying to look legit would they? They'd post an official response with an apology for hassling people and promise to stop. - DonRe: Sam's post, fourth up from this one.
So tell me then Sam .....
1) Why do they call people in the middle of the night ?
2) Why do they ignore TPS guidance ?
3) Why won't they remove people from their call list when asked ?
4) Why won't they give their address ?
5) Why won't they give a phone number ?
6) Why won't they give a website address ?
7) Why don't they just f*ck off ?- Caller: Crystal ?
- DeadAndDisorderlyI've been getting these calls for >3 years now, on and off, probably 4 times a month. I've used whistles, expletives, downright racism but nothing seems to frighten this lot off. Clearly, their persistence works otherwise they wouldn't bother. I just don't understand how anyone can fall for their lies: frankly, those that do deserve to lose their money because it's such an obvious scam.
I kept one of them on the phone for at least an hour last year just to see what would happen. I got further up the line speaking to three separate people until I stopped at an English person with an English accent. Sadly for him, all the info I had fed him was made-up: I had £200,000 in debt on seven different accounts, I was registered blind, unemployed, 68 yrs old, in a 9-bedroom house, defaulted on all my bills and was due to go to prison in two weeks for non-payment. I even put on a Scouse accent for added authenticity. Finally, he said he was very sorry but he felt he wasn't able to help me this time. I couldn't suppress my laughter and he knew he'd been had. The calls stopped for a year!
As a senior manager in an business re-engineering company, I got my own back by sacking 380 staff in Hyderabad with no severance pay. Great feeling! - coanchyphone 4 times in 10 mins neither myself or partner have any debts
