Report a phone call from 08448466519 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- mikewA good way to stop these unwanted calls is to have your answer machine deal with them. Since we changed out OGM - calls have alsmost stopped.
Our message says something like...
I am sorry we are not available to take your call. If your number is withheld or unknown then it is unlikely we will pick up the phone. Otherwise please leave a message and we will get back to you - Thank you
they alsmost immediately hang up- Caller: Unknown
- ChrisHad a call an hour ago from Crystal debt advisory, googled them whilst on phone and up popped this site, thanks to all who have commented. I have online submitted complaint to Ofcom and then changed number with my phone supplier Virgin. My number was a recycled number so who knows who had it before me. Fortunately, it's not too much hassle to notify family etc of number change. if you have a recycled number then change it for a brand new one is my advice.

- JanetteWe have had two calls from this company, they say they do not have the authority to give deatils on their or where they get the information from. Also we just had a really loud alarm played through the phone and getting threats from them, they say they are a Leicester based company when we spoke to a supervisor/manager, could not get anymore information from them

- Mister Angry08448466519 : just got another call from these unwanted people. Do they not know I'm registered with TPS?
- DaveI told them I have no unsecured debts yet they continue to call, This was after they said they would remove me from their database.
- Big JimThis is getting beyond a joke. I don't answer my phone anymore because these lovely people keep ringing day in day out. Average is 4 to 8 times a day and always double calls. Phone rings, goes to my answerphone after 5 rings then they hang up and ring straight back again. If i didn't answer the first time I'm hardly going to answer the second call. They always ring between 8am and 11am then in the afternoon between 3pm and 5pm. I am already registered with the TPS but can only assume that as these "guys" are working outside the UK there isn't much that can be done to stop them. Anyway i must go now my phones ringing i wonder who it could be?

- markget calls several times a day, dont answer there numbers but the idiots still keep ringing, driving me mad haveing to look at my phone all the time which is my business number ,SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS COMPANY, NOW, I HOPE SOMEONE DOES CONTACT WATCHDOG.
- N PittawayHave just spoken to both Crystal Collection & Churchwood Finance.
Personally, I don't believe that Crystal are involved in this having interrogated the callers many times.
Called Churchwood Finance and they were surprisingly unsurprised that I was calling them to ask that they could ask another 3rd party company to stop calling me. Just took my name and number and said he'd forward it to all of the companies they deal with and ask them to remove our number from the database.
Time will tell....- Caller: Debt Advisory Service
- FireHawkI have these idiots call me alot too. Reported them to all companies found within this thread and numerous others out there.
I also phoned Churchwood Finance and they admitted they "use" them but had no real dealings with them. They said they could only pass me onto there marketing team to deal with it further. Unfortunately they just gave me another number to call "08002947281". Haven't time now but it's there if anyone would like to try it and report back.
The only way i know of to stop the number getting through to you is if you pay BT £9+ a quater to have the "choose to refuse" option. This will block up to 10 numbers of your choice.
But why the hell should we pay!
These calls are really getting highly annoying now and i am considering the LOUD whistle theory, and the "hang on a mo, need to answer the door", and leave them hanging there silently. Swearing and being abusive to them doesnt detere them either, they just do it back!- Caller: Crystal Debt Advice
- billpersistant calling over 5 years
- CathyI get a about 3 calls everyday from these people asking for me by my full name. If my husband answers they hang up. I have told them over and over to not call again. I dont understand what they are gaining from the repeated calls if they know we are not interesed. Is it just malicious?

- RosieCalling me from India for over a year now. I've tried everything from using the answer machine, to listening to their pitch and finally losing my temper and telling them to take me off their calling list(I've asked many times) as I don't want or need their service. I work for a bank for goodness sake. They talk about any loans, credit cards and storecards by wiped off legally by this government scheme and you will stop paying monthly payments. I put it to him that sounds like an IVA and that by entering into an arrangement like this would result in your inability to get any new credit until it is finished or off your credit file so it could be a very long time. He just ignored me and continued his spiel. I'm going to complain to the FSA as they are mis-selling debt solution services. Don't give them any information whatsoever!

- s edwardsthese people keep calling me but hang up when i answer, they have rang me 7 times in 2 days including 3 times this morning in the space of 10 minutes. it is gettng to stage where i am frightened to answer my phone and missing important calls, they also call my wifes and my mobile where they get our numbers from.
- PeterI had 8 calls from this number in two days, several of the calls within minutes of each other and at differnt times of the day and each time the line goes dead. I want to end calls from this number and am registered with Telephone Preference Service (TPS) but it seems to make no difference.
- PeterPersistant calls from this unwanted number. Got onto Churchwood Finance on 0800 2800 051 who although they say that Crystal Debt Advice (08448466519) is nothing to do with them, Churchwood's Marketing Dept is looking into the problem of these unwanted calls and will be asking the company to stop making them, especially as they are using Chruchwood's name withoiut permission.

- dav19390Look at another thread on this board :
https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/0301/12#pWTfResfZ4QCt9gjMJPm_mQ
It is 12 pages long all about the same problem involving a firm in Leicester called Debt Advisory Service (and other aliases). This is the same company with all the same patter.
Look at the last but one post (Page 12) - about Stephen Rose - that was my post and then the next (currently last) that links that operation to Churchwood Finance in Stockport.
These calls have been going on for years and it doesn't matter who says what - or to whom you report them - they don't stop! Eventually, you will realise that your name is on a list and you are stuck with the calls. It's no good getting apopletic over it or yelling down the phone at them - nothing stops them - even the threat of legal action. I doubt that even Watchdog could have any effect - they just change their name and telephone number when things get tough. Just calmly put the phone down and pour yourself another G & T.
Two answers - change your phone number or get one of those gadgets that detects incoming numbers and filters out the ones you don't want.- Caller: Crystal
- dav19390And, supplemental to my post above :
Don't bother ringing Churchwood. The people who are ringing you are trying to get you to enter into an IVA and if you sound interested they will introduce you to .... Churchwood, who specialise in IVAs (Google them and see their webpage).
If you ring Churchwood complaining about the calls, they will sound very apologetic and promise everything but will NOT get your name taken off their list. You have just confirmed to them - and so to the call centre - that the details of your name etc. that they have on the list are correct and that it is a definite good prospect because it is live home phone number and not a business number. - dav19390Dear me - I've just spotted that Churchwood have an advert on this page, just under the last posting on it. It makes it so easy for us to go to their web page, find their phone number, ring them up, let them take down our details so that they can remove our names from the list and then --- they just update their database.
Come on Churchwood - let's have a response from you on the subject!
