I find it interesting that after 10 years of trading, the only real information on the internet about them is here is these posts. No one seems to have reviewed them or their produce. Looking at the reviews that are listed, they are only from their own website and everything has 5 stars but just one vote! Surely if they had such a large customer base as stated products would have more than one vote? Surely in such a media intensive and internet based world there would be many reviews. Also not every company has every product rated at 5 stars, not everything is that good!
His attitude was pleasant to start with until he realised we were not interested in buying, the he became rude, maybe as we made him empty his entire freezer :) Which we didn't ask him to do, he did it of his own accord.- Caller: DSD

Harry - Paul RHaving read all these posts and just very recently applied to DSD, I am now not sure what to do.
I understand the options for the van but was not aware that I would have to buy the goods up front.
I am not happy about just using ice for storage and have no other suitable facility. I did expect the van to be refrigerated at least. The process of building a client base can be lengthy and the risk of losing food and therefore money, in the early days/weeks sounds a high risk.
It would be useful to hear from other individuals who have embarked on this particular venture and their early experience.
Confused . - totally confusedI had an interview today for Dining Solutions Direct, in Bonnybridge (Stirlingshire).
I'm expected to go along tomorrow for the two day training. I actually came away from the interview feeling excited. But my bubble has been completely burst since spending the evening reading through these comments. My main concerns are the deposit on the van which wasn't mentioned at the interview. Plainly because, I don't have the money, and its a 84 mile round trip from my home. My concerns also stretch to the sincerity of a lot of the prior comments for I believe there will be propaganda work afoot from DSD haters as well as their supporters.
I'm totally confused - Mrs. CaveHi, I've been asked to come onto this site and post a testimonial. I bought products from DSD quite a few times as they are tasty and good quality. I found the service to be friendly and good. Products are lovely + different choices.

- longhotsummer| 1 replyI have read all of the above comments with an open mind. I'd like to commend my local DSD sales rep here in Liskeard, Cornwall. He is a Scot named Alastair and has a very agreeable manner. I asked him some penetrating and challenging questions about his stock, prices, and DSD in general. He was courteous and patient throughout. It was his friendliness that got me from my doorstep to his van. I asked him to call me in advance of his next visit, and he did so this morning. I liked the fish I bought from him a few months ago and have just this very day bought another box.

I recommend to try Steak and Ale,Chicken Wellington,Salmon Supreme, Cod loins, Minted Lamb, Salad Prawns, Plaice fillet or selections boxes-my favorite boxes,different flavors and ideas.They have great desserts.

Customer - barrysince this hate campaign has been going on now for years, and the company still seems to be selling their food, has anyone ever wondered why the authorities (health people, trading standards etc ) haven't closed them down? obviously because there is no truth whatsoever in what these morons hope we will believe. anyone with any brain at all can see that this site is a virtual equivalent of the more distasteful newspaper slander-mongers
- MurielI've been a DSD customer for 6 years, and never had any problems with any of their reps or products. Everything I bought was of good quality and my rep was always nice and helpful. I can't believe people are still posting this sort of nonsense here. Don't you have anything better to do?

I've been a DSD rep for 5 months now, and I can tell you that they are totally legitimate. I can guarantee that they are a serious company, and they gave me everything I was promised at the interview, and more. So far, the least I've earned in a week was £700, and the most was £1400. I see it's the same guy that keeps slandering the company here, he keeps posting all sorts of rubbish under different names. Don't be fooled by this individual, DSD are a great company to work for. - Pam| 2 repliesJust stumbled across this forum, and spent about an hour reading through the posts. From what I can tell, there is only one person that complains about this company, under different names. You can tell by their style of writing. Same guy, posing as customers and reps. I've been buying their products for over 2 years, and we were always satisfied with the fish and meat we were sold. Always good products, and good service from our rep called Mark.
- rose varnermy son works for dsd, and is doing very well. he works long hours, only has 1 day off a week but he makes quite a bit of money. he bought with cash a brand new car and he's been working there for less than a year. i would recommend this as a job for someone that is willing to put in the hours, because if you do, then you will definitely get the £££££.

I'm a satissfied customer of a number of organisations, but I don't google their phone number on a daily basis to comment on any negative reviews have been written about them. To suggest that happy customers are simply stumbling onto this site is ludicrous. Therefore these positive comments originate from the company themselves who are obviously aware of the impact that such bad press is having on their business. They should concentrate on their customer services, after sales support, PR and essentially ensuring their customers/workers do not feel duped or conned by them before they attempt to engage in this tit-for-tat, hoodwinking excersize. The general public are not stupid enough to fall for you faux praise and can see through this tissue of lies you are trying to create. Think long and hard about your reply before attempting to be a keyboard warrior in future, idiot!
